This one’s a-ways from being done still, but here’s an update~ Fixed some anatomy with the shoulder, and painted her up a bit. Will probably alter the anatomy at some point again as she gets sculpted out lol Gonna have to teach myself how to paint shiny-ish leather, which’ll be fun! My brain can’t decide between her being a Crone, or Sanctified. Probably Sanctified. Thought she’d be a Ventrue, but now I’m not sure. “Serpent-tongued Bitch” - Digital Self-Portrait on Procreate, 2022 Partial self-portrait, partial character insert for my upcoming Vampire: the Requiem campaign, part challenge to show what I can do digitally. I learned *a lot* from this portrait. Originally, this was meant to celebrate my 4th year on HRT, but I finished it two weeks early, and couldn’t wait to share it xD Shout-out to Alisha Ashford for inspiring me to take a chance at painting a bloody mouth, at which Alisha is *the* expert. Other influences include the hyper realistic portraits of Hans Holbein the Younger, Da Vinci’s Sfumato method (though I ended up closer to Rafael’s Unione style), concept art for the (sadly) cancelled World of Darkness MMO, and of course, the passing of my father, which taught me that allowing one’s talents to wither and atrophy is a pain worse than death. Not technically a nude painting, as my breasts are covered, yet lovingly (and quite accurately) depicted. Apologies for the silence. Been taking time off social media to recalibrate my mental health.

I’ve been painting pretty manically, working on a professional portfolio of my art. I’ve spent 10 years trying to be a SuCcESsFuL adult the way we’re all told to succeed, and have only met with failure. So, I guess I’m gonna take my chance failing as a freelance artist.

So, while I slowly work on my portfolio art, please enjoy this caricature of ‘OG It Girl’ Clara Bow that I painted this morning to celebrate the completion of my 1st Portfolio Piece~!

I primarily used a brush pack called Sargent’s Oils. My father was an *amazing* caricature artist, and I’ve been kind of obsessed with old pulp artists of the 30s-50s, so the influence kind of rubbed off this work, heh.

This is based off an OLD OLD sketch I drew of Ms. Bow like…5 years ago. I promised myself if I ever got the proper equipment I’d paint it. Now that I do, I figured I’d keep my promise to myself :”3
