You Know I Was Thinking Today And Likeif Your Warden Wasnt An Elf, Then Zevran Is Important In A Way
You know I was thinking today and like–if your Warden wasn’t an elf, then Zevran is important in a way that I hadn’t thought about at all before. Think about it. Think about that confident, unapologetic, dangerous elf fighting in the square for the people of Redcliffe, through the streets of Denerim, where everyone can see. Think about being human, cowering behind a stack of crates while an elf faces off against hurlocks twice his size, and never flinches, and brings them down. Think about being an alienage elf and seeing this elf who lives outside of anything you’ve ever experienced, who carries himself with flair and even a little brag, who treats his human friends as equals. Sure, the truth is that Zevran is as much a victim as anyone, but he never shows it; he works hard to project suave fearlessness. Think about the impressions that must have left behind, the deep-seated and largely unchallenged assumptions he must have wrecked.

game companies should be fucking EMBARRASSED about being inaccessible. it should be mortifying to ship a game with shit captions or no UI scaling options or no option to disable flashing / strobing effects. games lauding their character customization should be laughingstocks for not including hearing aids or congenital disorders or prosthetic limbs. EA should be publicly fucking humiliated for the sims series being 23 goddamn years old and include cats and dogs and horses and werewolves and zombies and mermaids and star wars and not FUCKING WHEELCHAIRS.
Justice being able to sense when Anders gets anxious, manifesting just enough to run the mage’s hand along his chest, his neck, through his hair; gentle touches to help soothe a panicked mind.
Justice walking Anders’ body to the nearest bed when he collapses at his desk, or in any other location that could lead to discomfort in the morning, making sure the precious little sleep Anders does manage to get counts.
Justice watching others carefully, trying to learn just how often mortals need to eat, eventually coming to understand the need well enough to remind Anders when he realizes the mage has skipped yet another meal.
Justice helping Anders to cope with their reality and the many other problems weighing him down, caring for him as best he can despite his limited knowledge of exactly what his host needs.
Because Anders is his friend, and though many mortal concepts continue to confuse and elude the spirit, Justice does know what that means.
Nah, nah, nah, Humans might turn out to be the Deathworlders or the Pack-Bond-To-Everything species, but I’ve got an idea what we’d be.
The thing I’ve heard most about Breath Of The Wild is that everyone wants to bang the shark guy.
The thing I’ve heard most about Mass Effect is that you can seduce all the aliens. (And that the ending for the third game was bad, I don’t know, I never played it.)
You see a picture of an alien,(or an elf or an orc or whatever) and there will be a comment somewhere of what said alien would be like in bed.
That’s our role in the universe- that no matter how strange the species, there is a human somewhere who will try to seduce them.
