There Are SO Many Different Experiences Of Being Genderfluid, And It Angers Me, As A Genderfluid Individual
There are SO many different experiences of being Genderfluid, and it angers me, as a genderfluid individual that the stereotype is
•alternates between man/woman
•”phases” of feeling a gender last very short and change is sporadic(seriously, while this is obviously a common experience I find the representation for individuals whose gender shifts more gradually and remains more or less the “Same” for extended periods of time, talking months or even years, is so lacking)
It infuriates me! There are so, so many factors within the genderfluid experience that don’t get talked about!
•some people are more flexible and don’t mind being gendered as anything, and some want to(and should be!) be identified as specific genders at certain points
•the complete ignorance for just how many genders there are under the Non-binary umbrella that genderfluid can and DO shift through
•speaking of, for some genderfluid people, only a “part” of their gender identity shifts while one remains constant
•it can be, but isn’t always completely random! Different gender identities can be triggered by many situational factors
•I feel many of us don’t entirely know, all the time, what our gender is feeling like. And we don’t have to! Sometimes, it can be as simple as referring to ourselves/being referred to as a certain gender and getting a feel for how “right” that feels in the moment
This isn’t an exhaustive list, in fact I invite any other fellow genderfluid folk to share their experiences :3

🚨 Urgent Appeal: Do Not Scroll Past This! 🚨
🚨 This GoFundMe will get VETTED by butterflyeffect.project soon

🎉 Thank you so much to everyone who donated and shared our GoFundMe! We’ve hit $5000, and we couldn’t have done it without your incredible support. Your generosity means the world to us!

Dear Tumblr Friends,
I’m begging you—please, do not scroll past this post. Mohammed, his family, and his young niece are in a desperate situation, and they need our help urgently.
The airstrike that shattered their lives has claimed the lives of everyone in his niece's family—leaving her completely alone. They have lost everything: their loved ones, their home, and their sense of security. 😢💔

Now, they are living in a tent, struggling daily with no fresh water and barely any food. To make matters worse, Mohammed’s brother is still missing. Their situation is critical and time is running out. 🚨

Mohammed is trying to escape to safety in Egypt, but the cost is staggering: $5,000 per person. Without these funds, their chance to flee their nightmare is slipping away. 😔💔
Here’s how you can make a REAL difference:
Donate: Every dollar counts. Your contribution can help cover the crossing fees and offer Mohammed and his family a glimmer of hope for a safer future. 🌟💪
Share: Spread their story. The more people who hear this, the closer we get to our goal. Your voice matters! 📢💬
Offer Support: If you have any resources, connections, or ideas to help, don’t hesitate to reach out. Every bit of assistance can change their lives. 🤝💖
Please, don't let this opportunity to help slip away. Their lives depend on our collective action. Your support can mean everything to them in this critical time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a life-saving difference. 🙏✨

Hey hey hey!
I am pleased to announce that I, Officially Dorset (and also @cyberr-v0id that is also me) am campaigning to be the province leader/representative for @provinceofthegenderfluidofficial as part of the @lgbtqnationofficial . I wish the best of luck to @galaxy-starshine who is also campaigning! I do believe I shall have some tough competition here :D
What I will do if I em elected:
- I will give advice and answer questions for fellow members of the province, or people who feel that they may be genderfluid but are not sure yet, or just those that want to learn more
- I will design a mascot for the province, but also allow others to submit their own designs also, and hold a vote to choose the mascot/s (as more than one may win!), and then I will create art of them for the blog (as well as allowing others to make art as well also!)
- I will make informational comics or writing pieces about being genderfluid, and my own and others experiences
- as is with @galaxy-starshine the province will automatically become a safe space for all people, including and especially: systems and plurals, furries and therians, people with complex or contradictory labels, people of all religions and beliefs, all neurodivergent people, people who have intrusive thoughts, disabled and chronically ill, people of all races and ethnic backgrounds, and especially Romani people from across the world. In other words, the people who are often excluded from even ‘safe’ spaces.
- however I would also like to state that with me in charge there will be zero tolerance for targeted abuse towards any of the above mentioned groups, or any other group of queer or otherwise marginalised individuals, or bullying of any kind. This is a safe space for all, and if you are not helping to keep it that way then you will have to leave.
- I will share excellent jokes and memes created by yours truly with you all
- provide interactive activities on the blog for people to take part in, such as polls, quizzes, games, and maybe even friendly low-stakes competitions
- I’ll show you photos of my cats if you ask nicely
- I will support the leaders/representatives of the other LGBTQ provinces, and will work to ensure there are good inter-province relations, as well as seeing how I can have our province be a safe space for their citizens
- I will share links to various petitions and campaigns to raise money for people in need around the world, including but not limited to: Palestinian fundraisers, petitions to help the environment, personal go fund me’s for people low on money, fundraisers for the situations in Sudan and Bangladesh, and charity events
- and much, much more!
Now! A bit about me!
I am Leo Lotsanames (lots a names for those that have trouble reading mushed up words) and I have- you guessed it- a lot of names! This is due to being genderfluid. My main names are:
Phoenix Leonardo Evandor
Cyberr
Riptide Raven
Jackdaw
Artemis
Hecate
And others also, but feel free to just called me Leo!
My pronouns are he/she/they/it/fae/mer and I am transmasculine leaning genderfluid (which is so say I am afab but lean towards being more of a boy at the moment)
While I have only properly identified as being genderfluid for three years, since I learnt the label (wow it feels so much longer), I have always been genderfluid, and as a kid I would regularly play as boys in games with my friends (I would always roleplay as Diego when we played ice age, and when we did a month long Peter rabbit role play there were ‘no’ boys and so I got to be Peter. And more instances also)
I am asexual, and on the aromantic spectrum, being demiromantic and aroflux, but abroromantic oriented (meaning that the genders I am attracted to may change, as does the label I use for it! This is linked to being genderfluid but also intrinsically linked with my aromanticism.)
The genders i experience most are girl, Demi girl, nonbinary, Demi boy, boy, boy girl, and often even just agender. I’m so genderfluid that sometimes there is no gender at all.
I am also possibly neurodivergent but unable to get tested for anything at the moment (my dad and brother think I’m autistic and/or adhd and pretty much every autistic person I’ve met is like ‘hey girl. Are you autistic? You seem very autistic to me’ which is fun. And there are other things going on with my brain that we- I, that is- don’t know how to classify.) and I am in the process of being sent to the chronic pain clinic to figure out what the hell is wrong with my body (I won’t go into details)
I love reading, cartoons, art, writing, GREEK MYTHOLOGY ESPECIALLY THE ODYSSEY AND ODYSSEUS, mythology in general, history, marine biology, faeries and folklore, dinosaurs, epic the musical, vampires, mythical creatures, rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles and teenage mutant ninja turtles in general, she ra and the princesses of power, heirs of the night, the ink world books, pirates, and honestly so so much more! Feel free to ask or talk about my interests
how I am able to help if i get elected:
- i have extensive knowledge on gender and sexuality, so i am able to help those in need figure out their identities
- i also have extensive knowledge on queer theory, so i will be happy to answer questions on that
- i have been told i am good at giving advice to people in need
