a/n: i remember this happening whilst i was calling a friend and that greatly inspired this one! enjoy

the clock at the corner of his table shone a bright 2:05 am. he’s been gaming for 4 hours. heeseung raised his hands up to the sky, stretching while letting out a muffled yawn. 

“you should go to sleep heeseung hyung. you’re getting old.” niki tease the older and heeseung huffed, “hey, you’re the one who needs more sleep kid. besides i’ve pulled more all-nighters than you think.” he confidently replied, leaning back into his chair. heeseung cast his glance into the dark night scene, peering at the dull clouds hanging low in the sky. 

“how about another round?” sunoo suggested. “wait, let me just bring in the laundry.” 

this caused both niki and sunoo to laugh at the sudden interjection. “i’ll be back.” “back from his old man duties.” sunoo stifled his laughter and heeseung commented, dead-panned, “i heard you kim sunoo. you better watch out because i’m going to have the victory.” 

with that, he removed his headset, placing it down carefully in front of his setup. moving quickly, he huffed as he pushed the sliding doors to the balcony open. peering at the steadily moving clouds, heeseung pulled the clothes rack into the living room, the sound of the analog clock softly ticked away in the background. 

“h-heeseung...?” he spun around so fast he thought he was going to have whiplash. you stood in the hallway, eyelids half-closed. “why are you up? what happened?” heeseung wondered if his gaming got a little too rowdy. 

he closed the distance between the two of you and was about to apologize for being too loud. however, heeseung noticed the unshed tears in your eyes and he immediately fussed over you, “why...what happened?” you grabbed onto him, fingers clutching his hoodie as you buried your face into his sturdy chest. 

“are you okay? hey...are you crying?” heeseung’s free hand brushed the stray strands of hair out of your face, trying to get a good look at you. however you just shook your head, arms tightening around his waist. 

“did you have a nightmare?” he slightly swayed you back and forth, his hands stroking a rhythmic pattern on your back. “was it the lightning?” 

“i-i don’t know.” “it’s okay. i’ll be with you.” remembering that he was still in a call, he lightly tipped your face up so he was looking at you, “give me a second.” quickly going back to his seat, heeseung announced his presence, “hey guys, i think i’m going to have to stop playing tonight.” 

“we could hear. you didn’t mute earlier.” sunoo explained. “yeah, it’s okay hyung. we can play tomorrow.” niki assured him and heeseung heaved a sigh of relief. “thanks for understanding. alright then, you two don’t stay up too late too.” heeseung left the call and made a quick work of switching off all electronics in his workspace. 

“let’s go to bed. i’ll tuck us in.”

jungwoo stared blankly at the television screen, waiting for you to come home. as soon as he thought that his night couldn’t get lonelier, he was greeted with your presence. 

“jungwoo, I’m back.” dropping your sling bag at the door, you padded your way over to jungwoo. “come here.” jungwoo patted his lap and you took the opportunity to lay your weary body down. “long day?” 

he ran his hands through your hair, an action he knew would put you at ease and to sleep. you nodded, feeling the day’s stress leaving you. “my clothes…” “i’ll change you out later. just rest and i’ll take care of you.”

mark sighed in relief, having just finished watching his online lectures. 

removing his headset in one movement, he stopped to look at you. with your head burrowed in your folded arms, your body rose and sank rhythmically with every breath taken. 

mark reached over to close your opened books and stack whatever stranded sheets of paper there were. “do you want to lie in bed?” he gently asked, fingers tucking your hair behind your ears. “mmm.” 

mark chuckled, “say that again?” “mhmm.” 

with your eyes still closed, mark looped his arms around your smaller frame as you clung onto him like a koala. “such a sleepy baby.”

as soon as haechan stepped foot into the lecture hall, he was greeted with a gust of cold air. you had curled up (quite uncomfortably and shivering), tucking your arms under your head, no doubt catching some winks before the professor came. 

did you pull another all-nighter again?  

“good thing i had the foresight to bring an extra jacket. “ he muttered to himself, a smile playing on his lips as he draped his jacket over you. “haechan?” your eyes were still closed. “i’ll wake you up when the prof gets here.” haechan promised, sliding into the empty space beside you, determined to block out any sunlight. “okay. thank you.”

summary: haechan likes you more than the dreamies; that’s good thing for one word count: 457 words  

it was a tradition for the dreamies to have fortnightly sleepovers and today it was at the dorms. with the new dorm arrangement, everyone had wanted to hold the sleepover either in renjun’s or jisung’s room, as they had solo rooms. of course you could already guess who’s room (it was definitely not jisung’s).

you were decked out in a mix of the boys' clothing: namely jaemin’s sweater, maybe jeno’s sweatpants, haechan’s avocado socks and surely renjun’s blanket draped around you, all whilst lying on his bed. 

chenle unfortunately wasn’t able to join because he had his DJ-side-gig-thing but he had kindly prepared midnight snacks. (to be honest, it was written: “none for the dreamies, all for my favourite person.”, which means angry texts in the group chat.) 

you snuggled closer to haechan, stealing his body heat as the sounds of the movie tuned out for you. jeno was determined to finish the remaining 3 episodes of squid game and without much objection, everyone was staring intently at the projection on the wall. 

you had watched squid game as soon as it was released, but held back on the spoilers because jeno had desperately wanted to find out for himself. jisung was cowering behind jaemin’s shoulder, cringing at the sight of blood. renjun had completely given up, opting to lie down on jeno’s lap and scroll through his socials. 

you glanced at haechan, who was boring holes at the projection, no doubt trying to figure out for himself the hidden meanings behind the series. stifling a yawn, you wiggled a bit in haechan’s side-hug and he turned to gaze at you. haechan, being haechan, adjusted his pillow so that you were also leaning on it. 

“tired?” you nodded, (was it that obvious?) feeling your face flush at the sheer closeness of him. haechan cleared his throat and everyone redirected their attention to him. “everyone~! my baby is going tired and is going to nap so PLEASE refrain from loud noises. thanks.” 

a chorus of “goodnights” were heard and haechan tugged on your wrist so you could lie down. thankfully the bed was parallel to the wall, so you could face away from the illuminated projection. 

tucking you in, haechan took the leftover space on the bed. he had propped himself up with the plushies littered around the bed, holding you in his embrace. lightly stroking the crown of your head, you felt your eyelids drooping as haechan blinked lazily at you, a smile gracing his face. 

you curled up into him and his arms protectively wrapped around you. the sounds blended into the background and all you could feel was the gentle soothing circles haechan was rubbing on your back and his slow breaths warming you.

“hyung could you pass me—” “—SHH!”

taeyong almost hadn’t heard you enter the room, save from your little shuffles and sniffles as you subtly made your presence known. he looked up, glancing straight at the mirror as you made yourself comfortable on the sofa at the back of the dancing studio. taeyong bit back a giggle when you shrugged on his already oversized NCT jersey, tucking your legs close to your body. 

“tyong, hwaiting!” you shook your fists, smiling brightly at him. “30 more minutes.” taeyong promised, holding out his pinkie finger. you nodded curling up, your gaze never leaving his figure. with a new motivation in mind, he continued to perfect NCT 127’s latest choreography, sticker. 

shaking out his limbs, taeyong decided that it was time to warm down. you shifted your attention to him, “c’mere.” you beckoned for him to come over, patting the empty space beside you. taeyong obliged, making his way over before sitting on the floor. 

silently, you reached over to massage his calves, oddly reassuring him of the effort he is putting into his work. “how are you feeling?” you graced him with your small smile and he laughed, “not bad. our latest comeback is slightly different, but i enjoy it.” 

“sounds like what a workaholic would say.” You huffed, lips quirking upwards as if to hide an all-knowing grin. as quickly as you said that you questioned, “anywhere else?” 

taeyong stretched out his limbs, flexing his foot as you stared at him inquisitively. “i think...here.” he playfully pointed at his lips, signaling that he wants a kiss. 

“tyong!” you blushed a brilliant red and whacked him lightly. “ah, i’m kidding. give me a hug.” taeyong easily pulled you into his larger frame. 

“thank you for supporting me.”

haknyeon -- oversized hoodies

(okay now you may be wondering...hey isn’t it the same thing as hyunjae’s? uhm well i-i have nothing to say)

okay so! oversized hoodies! haknyeon has a bunch of hoodies, especially oversized hoodies

but what you don’t know is that he’s buying one size bigger than his usual size, so that’s like close to twice or even thrice your size 

why? he likes your sweater paws...like is obsessed 

“haknyeon! help me grab that please?” he stops in his tracks, seeing you make grabby hands at the cup that’s been stored high up. “do that again.” “do...what?” 

sunwoo -- fingerless gloves

if sangyeon’s the first person to notice, sunwoo would be the second most observant in my opinion

did a double take when he realized it was his fingerless gloves that you were wearing 

“honey, that’s mine...” “i don’t like how sweaty my palms get when cycling.” you volleyed back, wiggling your fingers while showing off and effectively making sunwoo bewildered (in a good way don’t worry)

thinks that you’re really hot like UNBELIEVABLY HOT in fingerless gloves 

actually stares at how pretty your hands look in those gloves like the boy’s whipped 

eric -- (fake) glasses

okay,, the only reason why you used his fake glasses was to hide your eyebags from staying up late

eric didn’t notice that it was his, until he had wanted to wear them that he realized that it was already on you 

“...okay you keep my glasses; i’ll wear my other pair.” “oh, do you want it back? i-i can go borrow from sunwoo.” “NO...i mean you look really cute right now. just keep it on.” 

very happy that he made you blush; it’s okay if you wore his favorite pair of (fake, FAKE!! reminded himself) glasses

he wasn’t by any means short sighted, it was just a fashion statement (on you)
