Changbin’s ideal type is a girl (someone, anyone) who can laugh with him when they’re together. And boy, he wasn’t kidding when he said that. After being with you for a while, he managed to categorize the different types of laughter he manages to elicit from you. 

- tired, muffled laughter

These are the times when he would come back late from his schedule to find you sleeping on the couch, limbs placed in an awkward and ungainly position. He would drop his bags and whisper in your ear in an attempt to wake you up, “You look really funny sleeping like this.” You mumbled something unintelligent and Changbin rolled his eyes and lifted you up from the sofa easily. You clung onto him like a koala, laughing into his shoulder because he said you were such a baby. “M’not a baby. You...are big baby.” Changbin placed you down on the bed but you simply refused to let him go, forcing him to lie with you. 

- squealing at cute things

He doesn’t tell you but you continue to fawn over Hyunjin’s dog, making him a tad bit jealous. “Bin! Kkami is so cute! So freaking cute!” He felt his mind go blank when he saw you lift the dog up, nose scrunching up because you simply adore the dog. He’d better tell Hyunjin to not bring his dog out. 

- shy giggling reserved just for him

Whenever he makes you giggle shyly, he feels very accomplished as you would be so tongue-tied. Especially when he compliments you for the umpteenth time or when he uses a pick-up line on you. “Aigoo~! Why is my lovely so pretty today?” And you would giggle at his comment, hiding your absolutely red face in his chest, “Ah! Stop it! You are the most pretty between us two!” Your repeated smacking on his shoulders while giggling just made Changbin fall in love with you again, “I adore you.”

“Hyung? What’s the meaning of this?” “Uh, long story short...my mom’s hybrid farm is running out of space and you’re the first person I thought of?” Chan begged. “Oh, fine. Come in.” Jisung opened the door wider. A tired Yang Jeongin clinged onto Jisung, yawning as he did so. Jisung glanced at the petite figure sleeping in his arms as he locked the door behind him. The fox hybrid made himself comfortable in Jisung’s lap as he sat down.

Before Jisung even opened his mouth to ask, Chan beat him to him, explaining everything, “Okay before you jump to any conclusions, this hamster hybrid had spent the whole day undergoing examinations, just like what you saw for Jeongin.” Jisung remembered how laborious it was and the fox hybrid was so drained after receiving many injections.

“So why bring her here? And Jeongin?” Jisung was puzzled, as his hyung’s farm was pretty big. “Right, so there’s a water leakage and it affected about half of the farm. Currently someone is fixing it, but we couldn’t let our hybrids suffer from this, especially those with acute hearing.” Jisung nodded, “Just for tonight?” “Yes. I’ll be back before afternoon to bring them home.”

Jisung shifted Jeongin out of his lap so that he is sleeping comfortably on the sofa and Chan moved the hamster hybrid onto an adjacent one. “You should be thankful my dorm mates are out for the weekend.” “‘I know bro. Thanks so much for helping me out. I got to go and bring the other 6 hybrids in my car to my other close friends. Also, thanks for understanding.” Chan clapped Jisung on the back and left.

“Jisung hyung, cuddle me to sleep.” He was close to Jeongin and treated him like a baby. He relented, “Why don’t we move to my room? There’s more space there.” Jeongin sniffed the air and headed into the room with his eyelids half-closed. Jisung picked her up and quickly carried her into the room. “We can sleep on the floor and leave the bed to…” “Min. Her name is Min.” Jeongin helpfully supplied. Jisung put her down and made quick work of setting up a mattress on the floor for both of them.

“Chan hyung said I was having a sleepover with you and I was so excited! But I fell asleep in the car ride.” Jisung knew that Chan couldn’t bear to tell the younger ones their problems and he stroked Jeongin’s red hair, “I know I’m excited too, but let’s sleep. We can do more things tomorrow, okay?” The fox hybrid nodded his head and slept almost immediately. Jisung tucked the blanket snuggly around Jeongin and got up, doing the same for Min. Before he could kneel back down to sleep, he heard a small whimper coming from Min and he stood back up. She was curled up in a ball, her fingers tightly clenched. Min shot out of bed and into Jisung’s arm.

His first reaction was to hold her, “You’re safe now. I’ve got you.” He wasn’t sure what was running through his head. “Shh...you just had a nightmare. It’s okay, I’m here.” She finally calmed down, sniffling into Jisung’s shirt. Jisung stroked her back as she hiccupped, wiping the tears from her eyes. “I-I...Where am I? Where’s Chan o-oppa?” “Jeongin’s on the floor sleeping. Chan left me with you because you two are having a sleepover in my house.” Jisung reached out to wipe a fallen tear, and she nodded her head, “I-I remember that.”

“Good. Then go to sleep or you would get dark circles.” “Could you pat me to sleep? I-I’m sorry I—” Jisung gazed at your blushing state for a whole second and processed that request, “Of course. Don’t worry. Jeongin and I are here for you, okay?” Jisung comforted her and she lay back down, scooting to the left so Jisung could lie down. Min closed her eyes and Jisung tenderly combed her short hair.

“Everything is going to be okay.”

“Thank you.”

As a manager in charge of watching 12 rowdy boys, you had half wished that you had taken a diploma in early childhood education. You sighed in relief when your duties were being passed on to the filming crew, which was going to produce Come On! The Boyz for the different types of “fairies”. Your good friend, Yoomi walked over to you, “I can’t imagine you trying to handle all 12 of them at once. They can be quite a bunch.” She reached behind you to grab the makeup bag and you saluted, “Good luck dealing with my boys today.”

“We’re going to begin filming! Please come on set!” The cameraman called out and the 12 of them filed onto the white stage. “Oof, it’s just another opportunity for Sunwoo to show off his acting skills.” You realised, muttering to yourself. You had to admit, Sunwoo was the jokester of The Boyz, yet he had many unique talents that made him rather prominent amongst the rest of them. You glanced at the set and Sunwoo roughly pulled on the collar of his jacket, “I will tear your limbs apart!” It wasn’t long after the top 3 “fairies” had received their badges that the director shouted “CUT!” and 12 of them moved out of the stage to touch-up their makeup.

You watched as Yoomi and a couple of the staff from the makeup team swarming amongst the 12 of them.You moved closer towards Yoomi as leaned towards you, speaking in hushed tones as she lightly dabbed Sunwoo’s sweat off his forehead, “Sunwoo-ya! You can practically do everything! Act, dance, rap and even probably sing!” You butted in, being just a little sarcastic on your part, “He has an image to uphold you know, being The Boyz’s comedian. His ego is so visible; I can almost watch it grow.” You muttered the last part to yourself and Sunwoo raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow.

“Noona-ya! How can you say that! It’s not because I have an image to uphold, but it’s because of fan service, you know?” Sunwoo was the only one who would call you “noona-ya” so casually, partly because you had told all 12 of them to call you noona and partly because you had known Sunwoo since he was just a little boy. “Yes, yes. I know that.” “Mhm. So tone it down a little so others get the spotlight,” You teased.

“Say, I could have been an actor!” Sunwoo received a mock-glare (more like a really adorable pout) from Jacob, “If you say that one more time, The Boyz would not hesitate to kick you out!”

“Hey, noona! What did you think of my lines just now? Wasn’t I really sexy?”

“Go and get to filming.” (To be honest, you had thought Sunwoo was really impressive when he had recited that line from Romantic Doctor, Master Kim and you had to hide your blush from other staff when he glanced at you for a second before fluently saying it.)

“We have a mission for the 00 liners and it is to annoy the heck out of Felix today because today is April Fool’s Day! Also because his reaction is something I’m looking forward to seeing.” Chan whispered excitedly and the remaining three 00 liners and you nodded your heads. “Well, he kinda knows that you four would be carrying out a mission, but he doesn’t know what you guys would be doing. So pick a card and that will be your mission!”

“Dibs on the purple one!” Jisung pointed and pulled it out of Chan’s hold. Seungmin’s hand hovered before picking the blue one. “I feel like...yellow?” Hyunjin laughed and you were left with green. “Open it!” Changbin peered over Jisung’s shoulder. “I want to see!” Minho wrapped both his arms around Hyunjin and Seungmin’s shoulder. “Noona, I hope yours isn’t too hard.” Jeongin’s eyes narrowed at the card. “One, two, three. Flip them over!”

“I have to hug Felix for more than 30 seconds. That’s okay.” Jisung read it out. “I bet mine is the easiest. I have to take a selca with a cute filter on and post it on Instagram.” Seungmin grinned. “I have to high five Felix and compliment his freckles as soon as he steps into this room. That’s not too bad. What about you?” The rest of them stared at you and you flipped the card open. “Oh my god! You aren’t going to survive it! He hates it so much!” Your mission was to call him Yongbok 4 times.

“He’s coming! Act normal!” Jeongin announced and everyone scrambled to do something. You sat down where the stereos are and he came into the room. Hyunjin immediately got into action, hand up ready for a high five. Of course, Felix high five him back and Hyunjin easily passed the first half of his mission. “Lix, your freckles seem to be more prominent today. You look nice!” And just like that, he got an affirmation from Chan. “Why are you being so weird? My freckles look the same all the time!” Felix brushed it off and Hyunjin sighed in relief that he did not catch on.

“Let’s warm up first.” Minho suggested and everyone followed him as he led the warm ups. Jisung took this opportunity to hug Felix while they were stretching their arms. Felix didn’t think too much of it and Jisung was second to succeed. “Alright. Drink up and we’ll start.” Seungmin latched onto Felix, “Let’s take a selca for our Stays to cheer them up on April Fools!” Felix readily agreed and Seungmin secretly showed a thumbs up to Chan.

And you were the last one left. There wasn’t a time limit but you didn’t wish to drag the mission. “Yongbok.” He didn’t have to respond right? So that counted as one. “Yongbok.” He heard you and Minho was laughing his ass off while Changbin covered his face. “Yongbok.” “I’m not going to respond to you if you call me that.” Felix pouted. Chan mouthed “two more to go” and you made a face. “Yongbok-ah, drink your water.” He looked at you and you held up his bottle. “You’re lucky I love you. Otherwise...I would have taekwondo the next person who calls me Yongbok out of this room.” Felix scooted over you and took the bottle.

“Happy April Fool’s!” Jeongin picked up the secret camera and filmed Felix. “Oh...oh! Wait, what?” He scratched his head. Everyone was quick to share what their mission is and of course they had to mention how hard they thought your mission was going to be. “So that’s why you called me Yongbok.” He leaned over and placed a chaste kiss on your nose.

“I still like Felix better.”

“Then I’ll purposely call you Yongbok because I like it.”

“No!” (BUT he really likes the way you say his name.)
