The thing is, when museums and cultural institutions or researchers adopt memes in a "How do you do, fellow kids" way, that's adorable like my grandma when she's misusing emojis. However when some megacorp does it to sell me evil products or some influencer is trying to get me to buy nonsense skincare mud or cyberpunk looking face masks or weightloss pills, I think that's evil incarnate and their name goes into the Death Note (very mindful, very demure)

For @palasakiweek Day 4: Meet Cute
as an optimist i dream of a beautiful world where people are fucking normal about aromanticism
The thing is, Viktor and Five were close as children, but as adults? They are never on the same page, they are barely even in the same book. Every time that Viktor needs him, Five is somewhere else; every time that Five asks for his help, Viktor turns him away. And Viktor was alone and isolated as a child in part because Five left him there; and Five spent 45 years trapped and alone in the apocalypse because Viktor killed their family and created that wasteland.
Their interactions always feel so heavy and I think the choice to have Five walk away from Viktor at the end of season 3 was extremely interesting for what it said about the state of their relationship, and then it went nowhere but we don’t talk about that.
this is autism of me but very often I have to translate human social interactions into Dog and back to understand them better. like very often dog social behavior is based around the desired reaction of the other dog, so if I can look at a human social interaction and think "oh that was appeasement behavior" or "that was a distance increasing behavior intended to move us away from that topic" or "oh that was intended to diffuse the social tension and prevent escalation" not only do I understand human interactions better, I'm also better at understanding my own goals for social interactions and how I am behaving in order to reach them. like, am I Doing Appeasement right now? is that really how I want to be acting or am I doing it because I'm afraid?
Friendly not so friendly reminder that Inej Ghafa is one of the main characters of SoC and not just “Kaz’s romantic interest”
