Bungou Stray Dogs: BEAST Manga, Chapter 6.
Bungou Stray Dogs: BEAST Manga, Chapter 6.

The faces in this panel are literally like: ππ π
It's somehow so creepy and funny at the same time. Especially because Tanizaki and Kenji are just like "It's no big deal, we expected this" and Oda is just like "I'm already tired of this shit".

Okay, so I was thinking about the ending of my hero academia recently, mostly how the ships could be handled, and like... what if we just never get any confirmation about any of them at all?
There's way too many ships and way too many ways to get people mad, so what if it was left open for the readers/viewer to make their own ending?
Like let's say, people think Izuku x Ochaco are going to be end canon bc "Deku is straight" (which btw, why is it such a thing? would it be bad if Deku was bisexual or gay?) but so many people in the fandom believe Kacchan x Deku are going to be end canon (or at least hope so)... then there's Bakugou x Kirishima but it's counter part being Kirishima x Mina-- I'm about to say all the ships at this point.
No matter how I see it, it would create chaos if any of them got confirmed. Sure, it would help knowing with canon material which are the canonical ships but like, if none of them get confirmed I wouldn't be surprised.
SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

It starts with exams, ends with SADNESS! God, this arc killed me at the end of it.
With Yashiro knowing of her limited time, she wants to do something about it, and it's on her mind a lot, as it should be. Now, something like a camp is happening at the school so our characters are there, and so are a bunch of supernaturals.
Yashiro and Akane are almost taken, when they are suddenly saved by the No.6 of the Seven Mysteries, Shinigami. Last of the Mysteries to be introduced. And he takes Aoi.

So, of course we go on the journey to save her, end up in a hole full of bugs and what not and meet No.6's yorishiro.

What they did to the young maidens in the past just to get rid of supernaturals is not a plot I have not seen before, but that doesn't make it any less disturbing to see. How can they do it? It's kind of like this. You wouldn't want to die, you wouldn't want to be sacrificed, so why should someone else want that?

But that explained why Aoi was taken and why she was important. No.6 was planning to sacrifice her so the supernaturals and humans get separated. And accidentally, Akane made that sacrifice happen... which caused the Severance...

Chapter 71 can disappear for all I care. How dare they hurt me that way!
What was No.6 thinking? Huh?
Though, I understand that this happened because of Hanako in the first place. The seven mysteries are important for the safety of the school and what has been happening since the very beginning is taking that authority from them, with breaking their yorishiros.
We wouldn't have a story if those things didn't happen, No.6 wouldn't have done this. But... ugh, pain.
And with Aoi dead, Yashiro got a longer life span, Hanako fulfilled her wish in the way she didn't want and with him not really doing something, except not want to save Aoi. It feels selfish, bad... Yashiro wants to slap him...

But she mostly, doesn't want him to go. To disappear...
I'M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!
Anyway, maybe this arc didn't have me saying much, but doesn't matter because it still hurt!
Bye! π
This has been on my mind for a bit but... and I have no idea if people have pointed it out. Colors play a role here. This is not a shipping post.
Mori and Fukuzawa
Dazai and Chuuya
Atsushi and Akutagawa
These three pairs parallel each other. No?
Okay, wait, let me ?briefly? explain.
Mori and Fukuzawa
They're the first, they became partners, or kind of I guess, because of Natsume. He saw potential on the pair being together and he was not wrong since, from a flashback, they were a good pair.
Their colors are red and blue. Mori is red, Fukuzawa is blue.
Dazai and Chuuya
Second pair which goes by the name Soukoku or Double Black. They were paired because of Mori thinking that they can make something good together.
Their colors are also red and blue. Dazai is blue, Chuuya is red.
Atsushi and Akutagawa
Third pair, most likely the last except if we see either Akutagawa or Atsushi pick their next generation kind of thing. They got paired by Dazai because of plans that needed them both.
If you can't guess, their colors are red and blue. Akutagawa is red, Atsushi is blue.
Except of their colors, something just feels parallel with them. Okay, let's say this.
In season 3, episode 11 (idk manga chapter), Mori's fight with Fukuzawa, although it felt like it's own thing that has nothing to do with the other pairs, it somehow reminded me of them, mostly Dazai and Chuuya because they were/are closer than Atsushi and Akutagawa are.
Imagine this, Dazai was Mori, Chuuya was Fukuzawa. Does this go against their colors? Yes. But, imagine that placing because reality is, just like Mori, Dazai knows he wouldn't win against Chuuya. Chuuya doesn't need to use an ability, he knows how to fight and that was proven in the dungeon. And since I said dungeon, take that scene. Chuuya could have killed Dazai, but didn't because Dazai backed him up into a corner. That same method of talking before you die, distracting or manipulating your enemy and then gaining the upper hand is what Mori used too. Do you see it? (I also didn't do a mistake with the colors, it's to show the role change.)
But the thing about the pairs is that they differ from each other.
Let me list them:
Fukuzawa's and Mori's abilities don't compliment each other. Mori was most likely to use a scalpel to kill his enemies than his ability. While Dazai/Chuuya's and Atsushi/Akutagawa's abilities do.
Atsushi and Akutagawa don't trust each other at the beginning, even as we continue with the story, they don't trust each other quickly. Of course, they show they trust each other at a certain chapter later on. While Dazai/Chuuya and Mori/Fukuzawa show to trust each other from the start, maybe Fukuzawa had doubts but all of them did.
Dazai and Chuuya started from the same path. Of course Chuuya was with the Sheep when he met Dazai but he very quickly becomes part of the Port Mafia. While Atsushi/Akutagawa and Mori/Fukuzawa were/are never in the same organization.
Mori would never risk or die for Fukuzawa, rather he would kill him if that's what was needed. Chuuya would risk his life for Dazai. Akutagawa died for Atsushi.
This one is stupid but... Fukuzawa and Mori are not called a particular way. While Dazai/Chuuya have Soukoku (double black) and Akutagawa/Atsushi have Shin Soukoku (new double black). -learned that Fukuzawa/Mori do have a name which is Zenki Soukoku but I will not edit this out bc it's 5 on 5 and I'm a weirdo.-
What about similar things? Let's list those:
Created by a third party. Natsume made Fukuzawa/Mori. Mori created Dazai/Chuuya. Dazai created Akutagawa/Atsushi.
The colors. Red and Blue.
Yin and Yang. More apparent with Akutagawa and Atsushi, even in the hair. While Chuuya and Dazai have a more soulmate feel to them. Still Ying and Yang.
Their love/hate relationship. More apparent with Dazai and Chuuya.
This attacks point number 3 in the previous list but, different paths, at least in the present.
This was not a BRIEF explanation. Oh well. I didn't expect to play so much with color either but here I am. Will anyone read this? No. It's too long but it might grab someone's attention. Has anyone pointed this out? Probably. But I promise I didn't see it from somewhere, it was shower thoughts. π My thoughts about this are a bit all over the place but whatever.
Whoever read this. Legend. I thank you for reading my rambling.
Goodbye!
I'm just here to say....
Hagakure looks pretty.
I will not talk about the pain today. Maybe tomorrow. Today, I'll pretend I know nothing. I'm legally blind today.
Happy New Year!
Or at least I hope it is bc timezones are different, still!
And how am I gonna start this year? With cut out content from season 1 of Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun! Yay!
Season 1 of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun has 12 episodes which covers up about 7 volumes, more or less, bc chapters were cut.
Those chapters being:
The Young Exorcist (chapters 9-10)
The Three Clock Keepers (chapters 23-27)
The Searching (chapters 28-29)
Let's see...

These chapters happen in between The Confession Tree and The 4pm Bookstacks.
Although it's not a big cut, it has character and relationship development that I would have liked to see.

I can understand why they cut it, it doesn't seem so important but, if/when season 2 happens, I would love to see it. Will we? Maybe not.
Next...

These chapters happen in between The Tea Party and Reach Out Your Hand.
And these chapters are IMPORTANT! At the last episode of season 1, a.k.a episode 12, the rumor about clocks is teased. But with the season ending and these being important chapters which would confirm in a way a second season, they were cut.
First of all!

Hanako can do THIS!

Though he gets slapped out of her body later on. π
Anyway! And...
We get more Akane plot or more like, we learn who the No.1 of the Seven Mysteries is, which consists of 3 people, the Past, the Present which is Akane and the Future. And we get a bit of Aoi plot which by the way...

Does she even tell this something? Am I dumb that I have not noticed if she has or not? Someone tell me...
But anyway, these chapters are not only important for the introduction of No.1 but also about the information that Yashiro has about a year of life and that Hanako cannot be summoned by anyone but only or mostly only from people that are close to death.

Which makes me question, does that mean Sakura also has a shortened life span? Or is it different? You know, because she is bound to Tsukasa but instead he is someone who grants wishes to the dead. Which also, how is he bound to Sakura? Why? And how did she summoned him?
And Last...

Ah, yes, what a panel. I mean, if you are this low in the post, you have already entered spoilers territory, so it don't matter!
These chapters are the aftermath of The Three Clock Keepers events where Hanako decides to play hide and seek-- joking but I mean, it's accurate.
And honestly, Hanako is moping around, and then when Yashiro finds him, he is looking at the sky which btw bc he wanted to be an astronaut and he generally had a love for the sky/stars etc. Looking at the sky could be bringing him some kind of comfort, or maybe a longing feeling, I don't know but he does it a lot.
And to end on a positive note/panels.

This. This is the kiss. And I died when I saw it. The aftermath of it's funny though.

LOOK AT THEM BEING FLUSTERED!
And then he goes on to tell her she shouldn't do that bc she's a girl and just, they are so close when he says it... and I'll be honest, I don't know who ruins it first, Kou or Hanako himself by saying whose the letter addressed to. π
I'm done and this was a chunky one. Probably the next post will be about my favorite panels since I got the cut content out of the way. I did reach the limit in this post as well and I do like all the panels I put so it's like, part 1 of me talking about old manga chapters but part 1.5 of my favourite panels. π€£ To anyone who read all of this. Thank you. I don't know how you wouldn't get bored with a long post. And I'm making it longer by babbling.
Bye! See you in the next post! π
