It doesn't matter because it is war. Shadowy hidden war. The enemy is never something unworthy of respect. But its still the enemy. Ghouls are the common casualties. We try to do what we can. But they do still work for the enemy.

One, no. Ghouls are immortal as much as they drink their domitors blood.
Two, its about humanity and safety and fairness. I am simplifying it to human and not human. But thats not necessarily the point. The point is they are more powerful than us. They live for forever. They do not adhere to human laws. Theyre a danger abd they cause harm. That is an issue.
Most ghouls can be helped. We employ them. But... not all ghouls can or want to be helped. And thats their choice to make.
One, I thought ghouls only lived a few years at most. Two, why does being human matter so much?

Biing if it makes you feel better I was incredibly difficult when I first got here. Screaming at everyone, arguing, fighting, biting. I was really, really shitty to everyone all the time. These weren’t slip ups, I was awful and I was’t ever punished. I wasn’t flogged or beaten or anything I was just told I was acting like an asshole.
As far as I’m aware, Cressa really dislikes physical violence being used as punishment within her Syndicate. That’ll never happen.
