Heya, I'm Peridots (any pronouns, they/it works fine)! Your average digital artist/entomology enthusiast! This is partly an art blog, but be prepared for occasional Bug Facts and other such randomness. Spam likes and all other positive interactions are appreciated here! Hyperfixations are so weird because I can scroll past an intensely detailed and awesome piece of art someone took a week to make without a second thought cause it was for a fandom I'm not part of, so I'm not interested. And then you can show me a 15 pixels wide, blurry picture of a random wasp or a fork with eyes drawn and I'll go YES. BEAUTIFUL. LOVE THEM

A drawing of the protagonist of Hollow Knight. The entire front of their body is visible, and their head is turned to the right, so that they're looking to the left side of the screen. Their right arm is raised so that their hand is at the same height as the base of their eyes. The inside of their cloak is painted with the colors of the nonbinary flag, and the right side of it, visible on the left side of the screen, is flung upwards to meet their arm. A few hearts and sparkles appear to the left of their head, implying they're excited. The background is made up of stripes running parallel to their extended arm. The lower half is purple and upper half yellow, and a yellow stripe runs through the top of the much wider purple stripe. The small heads of the Hollow Knight, Hornet, and the protagonist are drawn over the yellow stripe, in a repeating pattern so that several drawings of each character are visible in the background.

I've been experimenting more with overlays and bright colors

Ok it's been two months and I haven't finished any of the three things related to it that I've been working on for two weeks and am also impatient so it's Dishonored. Dishonored is the new hyperfixation

Maybe it's a bit unexpected for the bug games artist, but I rented it around six years ago and only got to the flooded district, I've been occasionally wondering about it since, so I bought it December 31st and now I'm midway through the Brigmore Witches with half the achievements and a Clean Hands run completed

i'm not required to tell anyone about this especially considering I haven't posted anything about it. but i wanted to. so thanks for enduring my rambling hornet's coat in the last post was daud's (with a few significant changes when it came to the belts) maybe i'll actually post stuff for it who knows i'm weird about stuff i deem important. it's either a big reveal with a finished piece of art or a few barely noticable remarks implying it and in the end i decided neither of those i guess peridots-nonsense
