Tried out Clip Studio Paint these past few weeks and although it takes a while to get used to, I think it has a lot to offer. I mean, anything is better than Adobe these days, right?
Btw - my commissions are still open, with brand new info and prices. Check out my carrd here: azaryas.carrd.co
on the subject of yjh transgenderism: if i said something about yjh sort of having to be a man for the purposes of wos being what kdj could latch onto to survive because the most significant woman in kdjs life was also (to him at this point) a point of focused, projected self-loathing, but the most significant man was so singularly awful that he had functionally blacked him out and so yjh could step into that place of pseudo freudian Important Male Role Model without much trouble and so yjh was essentially performing masculinity for the sake of kdj and SO. a yjh at the end of orv/wos/scenarios/epilogues/whatever should (from a thematic standpoint) at the very least explore gender as it applies to them personally vs what hsy and kdj needed at a given time what then. what then

based on this

their conniving ways and chronic inability tell the truth have bewitched me
love that qi yan’s list of crimes are on the wiki. what a funny little freak.

i suddenly understood; the zhenzhen highness of the past was already gone with no return. now, all that was left of my love was the female emperor nangong zhenzhen.

yoocroft is yuri. to me. i will not be taking questions at this time.
no you have a point

something about the way that yoo joonhyuk’s ghosts don’t only haunt him via regression depression but also literally come to hunt him down…the way that even when he doesn’t remember every life he’s lived he’s still burdened with the regrets and the rage of every ghost he’s left behind, the way that even when he’s free of being the protagonist the weight of his narrative is constantly tearing at the seams of the pages, the way that he’s literally!! haunted and hunted by himself!!!

there’s something about this conversation..
I will never not shut up about Lee Seolhwa’s role in the narrative.
she’s a two dimensional character? sure. her personality isn’t really mentioned outside of being Yoo Joonghyuk’s lover? yeah.
BECAUSE THAT IS PRECISELY THE POINT.
ORV, in all of its glory, is unique because it is told from the reader’s point of view. the world is perceived from Kim Dokja’s eyes, for better or for worse. LSH is only so simple and stereotypical because KDJ wishes her to be. he has always imagined himself in her place, to be as emotionally close to YJH as she was, and so when this novel becomes reality, there is little space for LSH to reside in.
she fits perfectly into the character archetype of “the lover.” there is no purpose for her other than that because the reader is supposed to be smitten with the protagonist. they are supposed to find relatability in her, but her real personality as a human being is tossed aside when a reader like KDJ steps into the story.
