Who's your favorite proto-indo-european god huh?
SILVANUS

PROTECTOR AGAINST WOLVES

hello, I am writing/drawing a webcomic, consider giving it a peek

Admonishment to self loathing - nobody ever got better through self hate and suffering! Take the ibuprofen! Your brain is not a confessional where you are an eternal penitent! Forcing hardship upon yourself doesn't make you noble it makes you injured!
Black and red version and trans version both on my redbubble
[ID: a digital drawing of a wolf caught in a bear trap, stylized like a risograph print. There are two colourways - one in black and red, the other in pink and blue, both on a soft cream background. Text reads "Your suffering is not noble. no absolution will materialize from your pain. End ID]
Everybody say a silent prayer for me as I smash the head of baby Jesus clean off this statue in the name of art.
Pinned Post
Hi, it’s me, Kate,
Twitter is imploding, but I’ve been here the whole time, so, congrats if you found me here from that, but I don’t really use this blog.
keeping one name is useful tho, so you should always be able to find me doing stuff under “pencilears” wherever I go, but also, check the dates on anything you do find, because I’ve been posting under this name since like 2005 when I was in highschool and like, I’m not proud of all of it, but it feels wrong to try to delete the trail of identity I’ve smeared across the internet.
anyways:
public twitter https://twitter.com/PencilearsArt
cohost https://cohost.org/pencilears
my friend’s mastodon instance https://mastodon.eternalaugust.com/@pencilears

The blue is supposedly a stop-out but I liked it too much as it is.

These are going to be a small string of paper prayer flags. Made with watercolor today.

Work in progress
I have a show going here right now. so, if you’re in the Seattle area and you’d like to look at, or buy, a print in person, well head on down to Ballard. Heck, they’ve got some great teas, incense, books, local honey, magic rocks, drums, sage bundles, candied ginger, soap, beeswax candles, all kinds of neat stuff aside from my art.
I will post a date for the closing reception when I know when it will happen.
there will be cheese.
they’re located roughly across the street from the Sunset Tavern.
Glad you liked it!

I just got the cutest tiny mushroom art in the mail ;u; it’s so classy I want to get it a tiny frame

so, I made some Halloween stamps today out of this really excellent dickblick grey rubber stamping stuff. pretty happy with how they turned out. I think I’ll make some mini-prints with oilbased ink eventually, so that the watercolor won’t get muddy, but this is good for a test run.

quick proof in my mixed media sketchbook of a very notorious lady.
striped carnations say “no”
gladiolus for an upright honorable person.
