Do you enjoy writing? Of course you do, it’s frickin’ dope! But, writing can be difficult sometimes, which is why I bring you the best strategy for creating stories, characters, and worlds: WLAS
What is WLAS? Write Like A Sadist! Make the experience as torturous as possible for both your characters, AND your readers! Push the limits! Make people wonder if you’re a genuine psychopath! Make your friends cry! You can do it all with ‘Write Like a Sadist’!
(Side effects may include but are not limited to: guilt, deterioration of mental health, loss of appetite, your SO leaving you because ‘this has gone too far, I can’t even look at you anymore! You spend all day cooped up inside, laughing maniacally, I can’t stand another second! This is an addiction! Get help, Paige, please! What happened to you?’ Proceeded by hysterical sobbing.)
So try out ‘Write Like a Sadist’ today, and remember… character development can go fuck itself, shock value is the best thing to incorporate into a story!

The whole voice cast of Hazbin Hotel is fantastic, like you’ve got Erika Henningson (Charlie) just absolutely nailing the fun upbeat ‘nothing wrong with me everything’s cool! (Please believe me)’ vibes. Then Stephanie Beatriz (Vaggie) killin’ it with the chill no nonsense vibes. And don’t even get me STARTED on Keith David and Blake Roman (Angel and Husk)!
But what I want to talk about today is Alastor and Vox’s voices. Obviously they’re both fantastic, but with Alastor and Vox being polar opposites (Tv/Radio, Red/Blue, etc.) I love how their voices are opposite too! Alastor’s is crackely, with the staticky sound effects but also sorta the reverb of his voice, while Vox’s voice is totally smooth and like… flowy? If that makes sense. I just think it’s really neat and adds another layer of juxtaposition between them, not to mention making ‘Stayed Gone’ sound even more freakin’ fantastic!
Starting a tumblr blog because I’m on AO3 and everyone else has one. I dunno what I’m supposed to do with this. I just caved to completely self-inflicted peer pressure 😭👍
It’s been a great year for television, but episode 8 of the Last of Us will always be my absolute favorite, hands down. The sheer brilliance of the writing, the dread of David slowly revealing his true nature, Joel ruthlessly torturing those guys to find Ellie but still getting there just a bit too late, the horror Ellie goes through and brutally murdering David, but still not feeling safe, then the catharsis of Joel and her reuniting, not to mention the entire cast giving truly incredible performances… I could write essays and essays about how truly fantastic this episode is (and I probably will) but anyway… thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
Fanfic language makes no sense to me but I love it.
whump? Like wtf? Why is the sound of a wet towel hitting the floor used to signify immense pain and tragedy??
Smut? Is it an acronym? A reference? Some of that weird goo that’s in the corner of your dogs’ eyes? I’ll never know
Dead Dove: Do Not Eat? Why would I??? What does it mean??? Why is the dove the harbinger of doom???
Point is… I love fanfic. It’s so cool.
ya ya ya, The Last of Us Season 2 is gonna be incredible, but have you considered instead doing a 7 season 140 episode family sitcom that peaks around season 5-6 and has a letdown final season but still ends with a widely watched three-part finale about one of the characters’ weddings going wrong but still ending up okay?
