Punctuating Dialogue

➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.

➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”

➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”

“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”

there is a talent show that is being hosted and is accepting applications worldwide, maybe a new band/group/soloist should try it out.

a meets their favorite singer/rapper/group and gets invited to record with them in the studio. (found a performing at a cafe, bar or etc.)

b wants to learn how to play (instrument) so they go to their local music store and ask around. turns out a plays the instrument b wants to learn.

a has the biggest crush on b. so to finally let b know, a writes a song and performs it for b.

b's favorite sing/rapper/group is going in tour and they are having a concert nearby. a secretly raises money to get the tickets for the both of them.

a sings/raps but doesn't share their talent with the rest of the world. little do they know that b has been recording them and posting videos that have reached millions of views. even getting deals with companies.
