tbh yeah, i tend to pick up all the red-coded characters, as their personalities are quite similar. they're really fun to explore and write.

long before he ever met esperanza, crepus was in a relationship with a fellow harbinger, crucabena — better known as the 'mother' of the house of the hearth in fontaine. they had two children together, despite crepus' knowledge of what crucabena was doing with the orphans of the house. he was under the impression that their children would be safe despite the system to become king.

their first child was a daughter, clervie, and years later when she was about eight years old, they had their second daughter, aurora (the name picked by clervie, inspired by the 'pretty lights' in snezhnaya).

when clervie was growing up, esperanza was traveling from natlan, hoping to escape the wars and bloodshed of her homeland and find a safer place to settle down. she ended up in fontaine where she would be offered a job as a sister to the house of the hearth. she was to undergo training and if she succeeded, she would become the 'mother' of the second house they were planning to establish.

esperanza, with her fiery nature and quick wit, caught on almost immediately to what was being planned, but she remained quiet and performed her duties. she soon met crepus, and the two fell deeply in love, crepus having an affair with her. when diluc was born, esperanza at this point was defecting from the house, and together, her and crepus took diluc to mondstadt, crepus' main base of operations as a harbinger. they were unable to take clervie with them, however, and is one of esperanza's dying regrets.

diluc was about two years old when deep problems arose between crepus and esperanza. esperanza didn't approve of crepus' actions as a harbinger, despite the justification, as her perception of the fatui was rather muddled from crucabena's actions. as a result, crepus ended her life and concealed the truth, covering it up that she had passed away during childbirth.

[the rest of diluc's storyline follows as suit, however, he is no longer the direct descendent to murata, but is still her successor as he's still a pyro user. diluc also doesn't know this truth about his mother, and only knew esperanza through stories.]

The Winery's grapes have all been ripening these days. I was afraid the staff might be too shorthanded to pick them all themselves, so I came to help out.

Take this bunch of grapes — we can make some juice with them.

When they're ripe enough, grapes possess a wonderful sweetness and a strong, fruity fragrance. Your kind of flavor, if I'm not mistaken.

As for the ones that aren't fully ripe yet... Those can be used for fermentation. Don't worry, none of them will go to waste.

very differently. i wrote a lot more one-liners and crack threads (not that there's anything wrong with them), and i also just wasn't as detailed or really had an idea of what i was doing. now i feel i've improved pretty great. i still kinda feel a little inadequate but i'm proud of my writing so far
