Day One-Memory

Alexander cleaned his house religiously.The man had no tolerance for filth accumulating in his home. As he dusted the various surfaces of his home, a particular item  forgotten at the top a shelf caught his attention

He set the feather duster down and gently picked the old photograph up. His father looked around the chemist’s age in the photo and Alexander couldn’t help but notice the physical similarities between him and his father. The two shared similar features: tall, dark hair and beard and pale green eyes though his father was smaller than him, a fact he fondly remembered the elder teasing him about. 

The scientist couldn’t remember why he kept the photo in the first place. Every belonging from his past was lost and burned as it should be, yet, strangely enough, this photograph still remained.The scientist grumbled,putting the picture back in its place and concluding that he kept it in a moment of irrationality. 

Though he disregarded the old photograph, the older legends’ mind continued to dwell on it…

His father was a kind man, a botanist who strived to ensure not a single stomach went unfed. He was too kind, it was both his biggest strength and his weakness. It was what caused his end. He provided shelter to two strangers during a storm, welcoming them into his home in the middle of the night. Any rational person would have turned the two away or not even opened the door to begin with, but  Arthur Nox was a giving man. He decided to open his door for the two low lifes and gave them food, and shelter. Any physical need they had he tried to meet. That decision had ended his life. The people he showed nothing but kindness to killed him that night, and for what? Some old jewelry? Arthur Nox died alone that night with no one he helped to save him and his work, the change he tried to achieve gone to the wind following his passing.  

The older legend grimaced at the suppressed memory.Evidently, that is life. Those who try to change the world through kindness are chewed up and spit out like bones picked clean by vultures. Taken advantage of by the world they wanted so desperately to help

Pathetic, his thoughts hissed.

Alexander wanted to change the world.After all, any advancement in science is for the great good of the world, despite his own methods being controversial and his demeanor considered cruel and heartless to the majority one thing was certain.

He could not afford to show weakness, he would not let the world gnaw him to nothing his work would live on.

Okay days later I'm gonna talk about Caustic again but:

Not only is he a morally gray villain, he's a morally gray person. I'm p fucking stoked that they NAILED a sociopath and didn't make him into Terrible lighting like calling him that terrible word of "crazy" and such.

Bc sociopaths exist! They lack empathy and show love and affection in ways people who ARE empathetic don't quite get. Caustic loves Wattson in his own way, that is obvious. But in a way people who are empathetic don't quite Grasp. He compliments her tremendous mind, how she's someone to protect from others Due to that (not that she Needs protecting she's a grown ass woman) but he shows that love so Different.

Idk I think it's cool they're showing a sociopath in his Actual lighting (Ie: Lacking empathy, plus add in his trauma of hiding himself and faking his own death and being paranoid someone KNEW) in a way it makes feasible sense.

Although I still think it's SO sexy of Gibraltar to call him out on being manipulative, bc he IS bc Caustic doesn't see the LINE.

It’s weird ‘cause like, I’m fine being a woman, like I would want to have kids at some point with my bf

But I feel comfortable presenting myself as masculine, and being a tomboy. I feel most confident in suits, long shorts, flannels and just... looking like a guy or just straight up masculine.

I know I’m not trans because for one thing like I said I’m fine being female/woman and I don’t feel like I meet the criteria for gender dysphoria. Maybe I’ll just continue thinking on it more because idk what to think of this little moment

Excuse me but why is my brain giving me another “questioning my gender” moment?!

For some reason I had this thought inspired by what my parents told me in their stories of when they were getting me from Russia to be adopted.

So, Blackheart Caustic can speak Russian obviously but his English...

Anyway, like you said his main form of communication is by grunts and growls but when he meets that one lucky person, he finds out even by him saying simple Russian words or short phrases, they can’t understand him because they can’t speak Russian.

So for several days since they’ve been in his home, he had been trying to learn English, and English is already hard enough as it is, but he listens on when they talk in English. That’s when he decides in gestures that they teach him English. And over night just when they thought the English wasn’t clicking for him, he says his first English words that only he can say around them and is all he could say.

“Beautiful lady.”

I've made a post talking about all my au based on different caustic skins here but lemme talk about Blackheart more cause he's plaguing my mind

Look look Blackheart is just a big Russian man who probably eats bears. Like he barely talks just mainly grunts and growls but you know your fucked if he actually has to talk.

Like he's just this big brute of a man who lives in deep in a snowy wooded mountain who kills anyone or anything that comes too close unless your the lucky one person he likes then he would just throw you over his shoulder like you weigh nothing and take you back to his home.
