HL Was Great But With Opposing Force, It Was A Blast For Me. It Had More Weapons, New Enemies, Locations
HL was great but with Opposing Force, it was a blast for me. It had more weapons, new enemies, locations and mechanics.

There is at least one thing the HL community can agree on.

Details about Henry Emily
As previously mentioned, Henry Emily is a Vietnam veteran who served as a combat engineer. However I figured I should clarify a bit more about when he served and what role he played in the overall series of my head-canon or randomized thoughts. Henry Emily actually enlisted with the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18 in mid-1967 in order to see what his father experienced in WW2 and Korea. By the mid-1967, most Americans were under the belief the war was winnable and that would be ending soon which is why he volunteered, thinking the war would end sometime after he enlisted and did a tour of duty in Vietnam. He finished training and would be sent over to Vietnam as a combat engineer with other Marines to nearby bases near Hue. Everyone was just counting their days and waiting for the war to end while the Vietnamese Lunar New Year approached in January of 1968. The Tet Offensive changed all thoughts as Hue was under siege by Viet Cong and units of the North Vietnamese Army. Henry and many Marines would be tasked with deadly street to street fighting along with even deadlier room to room clearing which was intense in an urban setting such as Hue. Henry Emily experienced the harshest of combat and was tasked with burning out enemy positions a few times with flamethrowers. It was a horrible ordeal and after the battle ended months later, Henry was a changed man. He would go on to finish his tour of duty and returned home to witness the changes of the American opinion of the war along with treatment to returning soldiers.
Henry spent the rest of 1968 struggling to figure out what to do as well as deal with the nightmares and memories of the war that left psychological scars on him. However, his father, a Marine who served in World War Two and Korea, was there to help him and encouraged his son to go to college along with being there to support him as he understood what he was going through. With this encouragement, Henry would go to college at the local university, studying to be an engineer and toying with robotics. He wanted to stay far away from violence and conflict, wanting to make happiness instead of pain and suffering. Hence his focus on animatronics as Disney was getting quite popular in the field and he could make a lot of money with such skills. During his first semester, he had an encounter with one Alison Reed, a hippy college girl. They initially disliked each other due to backgrounds until they just started talking to each other during an argument at a cafe which made them realize they weren’t who they thought they were. After this argument, the two began to socialize more and eventually started dating. Of course, the biggest event to happen in Henry’s life is his fateful encounter with his future friend-turned-enemy William Afton in 1969.
William, meet Crowbar. Crowbar, meet William’s kneecaps. (Part One)
It was once again another cold, dark night outside the city limits of Hurricane, Utah. There were hardly any signs of life around the area asides from the Fazbear’s Fright horror attraction. The place was full of controversy given the gruesome history behind Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and the sheer fact someone was trying to profit off the horrors of the events that happened. Or rumors given many believed that the horrors were mythology. However for the driver of the beaten up purple car that pulled into the parking lot, the myths were true and that this place was on it’s last night existing.
Michael Afton parked in the parking lot, his spot far away from the building as possible. Not because of the policy of employees parking in the back to give customers front parking with easy access to the building, but rather because he didn’t want his car to be damaged in case the fire was more out of control than he planned. He glanced back at the red can of gasoline in the back seat, full and sloshing with the highly flammable fuel. If he still had his organs, he’d probably be feeling the negative affects of the fumes. However, that wasn’t likely given he was the purple zombie from hell. He decided to pull down the visor and look at himself in the mirror for a moment, seeing the purple eyes with white glowing pupils in the center. Despite the purple skin and the signs of decay, he could still easily see the teenager he had been before killed and used as a skin suit by his own sister. He winced at the memory, slowly rubbing his neck for a moment along before adjusting his hair for a moment. Despite being dead, his hair hadn’t fallen out but did turn a dark black color from its original brown. Still, it could be worse. He could have turned into a walking bald skeleton and really scare the shit out of everyone even at night. Thankfully a ton of deodorant, Febreze, some taxidermy supplies and some embalming fluid helped make him look somewhat human as long as he was masked up or wearing heavy makeup. Not that he could go out in the day.
“Okay, Mike. You can do this. Just go inside, pour gasoline all over the place, spark some wires, start a fire and leave. No need to go the extra steps.” He talked to himself for a moment, giving a firm look in the mirror. Though he stared at himself for a moment, his eyes drifted to the passenger seat where a decent sized crowbar was laying. Initially the crowbar was going to be for opening the doors in case they got stuck given how rundown the place was. However the temptation to just let loose decades worth of anger onto his deadbeat of a father was growing strong by the minute. “Mike. What are you thinking?” An eerie yet familiar voice asked, causing him to look away from the crowbar to the golden plushie sitting on his dashboard. The plushies eye’s had white pupils that started at the teenaged zombie while its head tilted slightly. Mike looked at the plushie and sighed.
“Sorry, Evan. I was just thinking of wanting to just let loose on our deadbeat serial killer of a dad but given he’s trapped in the Spring Bonnie suit, I’m not sure if its a good idea to start beating him with a crowbar.” He confessed to his brother to which the plushie looked at him with a hint of questioning in its eyes. Evan Afton hadn’t passed on nor possessed Golden Freddy like that one Cassidy did. No. The boy had possessed his own plushie which lead to the two boys slowly reconciling over the years and trying to stop their father, William. It was an interesting arrangement and currently Michael was working on his own special project to give Evan a small body to move in.
“Go for his knees. Dad always had weak knees even with the suit on.” Evan replied, reminding Mike of all the times his dad complained about his knees. Originally that was due to the weight William had gained over the years prior to becoming a serial killer but after the first accident with Spring Bonnie and a change in diet, he lost all the weight but the problematic knees remained. He smirked as he gave the Golden Fredbear plushie a pat on the head.
“Alright, Evan. I think it’s time to say hello to dad and introduce him to Crowbar and Gasoline.” He replied as he grabbed the crowbar off the seat along with the gas canister before stepping out of the car. He had a lot of work to do ahead.
Headcanon of FNAF: (I got bored and decided to write something)
• Henry Emily served in the Vietnam war as a combat engineer. After his tour of duty, he vowed to build something that would bring joy and not destruction and death. Hence why he got into robotics and animatronics to create a kids restaurant. It would be in college that he met his wife and his future partner turned eventual enemy, William Afton.
• Michael Afton doesn’t speak with an English/British accent. He was raised in Utah and while I understand that his father was British, Michael was raised in American society and education system as well as the fact his mother was an American too. He does tend to use a British accent to mess with people or directly speak with his father. After being scooped and leaving his message, Michael Afton never uses the British accent again. Elizabeth speaks in a British accent because of her idolization of her own father. Evan Afton took after his brother until his demise in the hospital.
• Elizabeth Afton is actually a psychopathic and a manipulative child. She takes after William more than ever due to favoritism by her father and possible preexisting mental conditions (still debating on it). Even before becoming Circus Baby, she had tendencies to manipulate and lie to get what she want or to pin the blame on her brothers.
• Evan Afton possess the Golden Fredbear plushie rather than Fredbear due to the fact he ended up dying with the plushie in his arms rather than in Fredbears jaw. Michael found out after witnessing the plushie moving around and even calling him a jerk in the middle of the night for killing him. Needless to say, Evan did forgive Michael after realizing that Mike truly regretted what happened and the fact he was trying to do his best to atone with what happened and investigate the deaths around Freddy’s.
• Michael Afton was sixteen or seventeen when he was scooped by his own sister and the animatronics that formed Ennard. This happened in 1987 before the events of FNAF 2. He was either twelve or thirteen when the bite of 83 happened. As a result, Michael Afton never got a chance to graduate from high school, go to college or have a future family due to being scooped and turned into a tall teenaged purple zombie. (This part could change later on the more I flesh out stuff).
• Mike and Charlie were best friends and Mike often considered that they could have been more than friends in the future. However that was ruined when Charlie was murdered by William. After being scooped and trying to investigate his own home once he got back control of his own body, he discovered that William was the one responsible for her death. Mike was beyond pissed and when he encountered William in Fazbear Frights, he made it clear by using a crowbar on Springtraps kneecaps.
• Springtrap’s weakness is its knees. William Afton had sensitive knees before being springlocked into Spring Bonnie and that transferred over due to mixture of flesh and metal blending together. He learned this the hard way when Mike found him at Fazbear Frights and took a crowbar to his dad’s kneecaps on the day he first committed arson. William had managed to drag himself out of the fire but not without more damage to the suit. Even when he became ScrapTrap, his knees are always a weakness.
• Jeremy Fitzgerald is a veteran of Urgent Fury, having served in the 82nd Airborne. He’s not the same age as Michael nor knows him (sorry JereMike fans). He is the bite Victim of 87 and later on the same Jeremy in the VR department of Help Wanted.
• Mike Schmidt is actually a real person along with a fake name Michael Afton used in 1993. Mike Schmidt was the brother of Clara Schmidt who is Michael’s mom. He actually is the only member alive connected to the Afton family along with Michael (despite being a zombie). He is the one who encounters Michael and learned what the hell happened to him when they actually tried to apply around the same time at Freddy’s in 1993. In exchange for letting Michael use his name and getting this job, Mike began investigating Fazbear Entertainment and other places more easily than Michael while Michael was investigating on the inside at night due to his undead nature. Mike continued to help Michael even after the events of the Pizzeria simulator when Micheal Afton finally passed away in the flames. Mike was the one to make sure Michael was buried properly and given a place to rest.
• Gregory is not a robot or the crying child reincarnated. Rather he is the reincarnation Michael Afton given another chance at life (without realizing it) as well as in a position to stop William Afton again along with his followers. Hence why he’s a gremlin and has prior experience with certain tasks or knows stuff others don’t know.
Youjo Senki Ideas/Head Canon
So asides from FNAF, another series I’m into is Youjo Senki or the Saga of Tanya the Evil. I like the idea of magic, WW1 and WW2 combined into one setting and feel like its a unique take. However I will confess I’m not a fan of Tanya but feel more sympathy for Mary Sioux instead given I feel as if she’s a victim really in this fight between a reincarnated business man and a deity he managed to tick off. So here is some of my headcanons related to a project/story I have on hiatus on AO3. 1. Tanya is stuck in a time loop. I feel like that despite her best efforts and all the stuff she does to go against the deity called Being X/God, Tanya doesn’t get off freely like she does at the end of the web comic. Instead, when Tanya dies of a natural death far into her life after all that fighting against Being X, she just starts back at the beginning with only her and Being X aware of the time loops. This keeps happening as Tanya slowly becomes more crazy and unhinged with every loop until she finally becomes the true embodiment of ‘evil’ and ‘insanity’. The only way she will ever break the cycle is by dying in the war which so far she refuses to do as an attempt to spite Being X, ironically trapping herself in the loops.
2. Mary does not end up with the US Army or the volunteer mages overseas from the movie or books. Truth be told, I feel like it would be much more difficult for nations to justify sending young children to the frontlines or willingly even if they are mages. While the Empire can use the excuse of Tanya being an orphan and willingly volunteer, many other nations would likely be hesitant to do the same unless the children volunteer willingly and are orphans. For Mary’s case (and in the story), her mother would refuse to send her daughter overseas after she just lost her husband to the war. That and an argument prevented Mary from being able to enlist on time with the US Army or the International Volunteers as seen in the show/movie. This is actually a bit of a connection with the time loops as there is slight variations that happen with each timeline. However, this event is not the end of Mary’s military career...
3. Mary ends up enlisting with the US Marine Corps. While the Army and Volunteers are out of question, one of the more unique and iconic branches of the Unified States Armed Forces (Unified States is the Youjo Senki’s version of United States of America) was recruiting at the same time to establish a new mage unit that will not be involved with the war overseas (initially). While there is still resistance with her mother involving military service, she does give parental consent in the end by her mother (partially thanks to Being X in some ways) to enlist where she ends up being sent to the iconic Parris Island and trained more rigorous both in basic training and when assigned to the new mage unit which has to be trained up by mage veterans of the ongoing conflicts in the Central Americas and Caribbean. This means instead of being trained in camp and then rushed to the frontlines in both the show and movies, she’s given way more time to be trained up and develop more.
4. Mary is fifteen years old. I actually don’t know what Mary’s age in the show was and given how she changed between the anime and movie, I cannot tell for sure. For the sake of this, I figured aging her up (unless I guessed her actual age right) would give her more chances to develop.
I will post more when I get the chance and maybe I will pick up on the story again. I will share the link to the story for those who wish to read it. https://archiveofourown.org/works/37812625
More Headcanon of FNAF
• One of the shows that Michael grew up watching asides from the Immortal and the Restless was actually M*A*S*H as Henry was a fan of the show and often when the families got together, they would watch TV after dinner when the show was airing.
• Gregory (Michael Afton reincarnated for those who haven’t seen the first posts) is pretty knowledge about robotics and would later get a job as a robotics engineer after high school at the rebuilt PizzaPlex mainly to stay close to the place and make sure William doesn’t come back again. He also is surprisingly tech savvy despite being Michael Afton.
• Gregory enjoys rock music of the past such as metal, grunge and other forms of it. Part of it comes from being Michael Afton in a past life but mainly exposure to it from his grandfather Mike Schmidt whenever he was in the car with him.
