Well, I no longer imported the theories of Netles being non-Valyrian because the program put other seeds without a trace of Valyrian blood, including Corlys' two bastard children. its importance reduced even if we didn't want it
Did you see a leak that Daeron is Criston's son? What do you think?
ummm i don't think it's a leak, it's a theory. and yeah no way lmao
i'm 99% sure that alicole starts in s2. also, daeron has the classic targ features & rides a dragon. nettles is the only non-valyrian dragonrider and if the show will change that i will riot.

I’m sorry but Harry Collett doesn’t give Jon Snow to me in the slightest, I could see a Tyrell tho!
I'm more surprised that people are surprised that they cast a white dude as Baelor. The only thing we know is that he had the dark eyes and hair of his mother. George is a 74 year old white guy who started writing this story in the 90s. Despite what a lot of people want to argue on the contrary he probably sees everyone in Westeros as some variety of white. Of course he wont mind Dornish as poc head canons or art but he's not gonna care either way if they cast a white dude. Pedro Pascal is very much also white, it's just a spicy white.
I don’t know how many times we can keep having this fight as a collective. if grrm had intended the dornish to be white, he simply would not have written as much racist orientalism about them in there, which is his own personal problem. he has said times that the dornish are based off of assorted MENA cultures including Moorish Spain and Palestine, and even if we want to completely disregard the intentions of the author, it is quite literally a plot point in the book that Baelor is visibly brown. i don’t know what else to tell you I don’t think you wanna hear it
while i do think that scene with jace and cregan where they talk about torrhen stark painfully cringe and could have been written better, i did appreciate the history revisionism going on.
because like no.... torrhen did not bent the knee because he thought aegon was this super duper awesome special guy who was needed for the seven kingdoms. torrhen gave up his crown because the guy had 3 dragons (one of whom was vaghar, and yet she wasn't even the biggest.....) and he just extinguished the gardener line (with the tyrells now replacing them) and the lannisters barely surviving. the dude made the understandable choice in that circumstance.
120+ years later jace is aegon's descendant so it doesn't surprise me that of course he has a romanticised view of it. as for cregan...i don't know if we're actually meant to take his words at face value. but he is talking to a targaryen, with a dragon.... i don't know, but it immediately think of that "conquests and rebellion" video the original series had where the conquest is retold from the pov of the major houses (ie oberyn for martell, jaime for lannister) when we got to the starks....yeah it was made very clear about torrhen's intentions which had nothing to do with glorifying aegon
the problem is will the general audience realize this.... probably not lolol
The irony is that Jace wanted war, he got armies, BECAUSE THIS WAS A WAR, he made the dragon seeds, but he was also sensible (with his defects he was 14-15) but he was also sensible. All of his intelligence and good sense as well as his cunning was passed on to Rhaenyra only making her look much more foolish.
So do we think Jace will get some characterization soon or is he doomed to lose his status as one of the most if not the most competent member of Team Black on account of not fitting into the gender essentialist men want war women are peaceful narrative Ryan Condal is pushing ?
