I Feel So Attacked.
i feel so attacked.
Me: watches a new movie/tv show for fun
Also me: suddenly notices the attractive male lead who is most certainly 35+ and I know immediately that he will infiltrate my thoughts for the next 365 days.

Din nearly pulled a tendon as he used all his strength pulling the Crest up. His navigation pad must have glitched as he was met with an asteroid shower when the ship came out of hyperspace. He remembers telling you to grab Grogu and seal yourselves inside the sleeping compartment to ensure you were both safe, his two prized possessions. He saw you grab your little green son and jump down into the hull. He heard jostling and crates falling over but let out a breath of relief when he heard the distinctive swoosh of the compartment door close.
As he successfully maneuvered you all out of harm, he stood up, shaking out the knots from his tightened muscles. He checked the navigation and as the pad glitched and began rerouting repeatedly, Din gave it a smack. The pad rerouted once more, finally giving the correct way. Din quickly sat and drove the ship back into hyperspace, the bright blue streaks of light painting his visor. He reached over, pressing buttons and pulling levers until the autopilot was securely turned on. When he was satisfied with the ship’s course, he made his way down to check on his aliit, hoping they were safe, but soon realized one was not okay.
As he jumped the last three steps, Din felt uneasy. He immediately opened the sleeping compartment and only saw his son tucked in his hammock. Grogu jumped into his father’s arms, incoherently babbling and whimpering, motioning over to the fallen crates. This is when Din heard mumblings and heavy breathing. He steadied Grogu onto his little feet, silently telling the child to follow as Din deliberately chose his steps and walked towards the sound.
Behind the two metal crates, Din caught sight of you, sitting with your knees brought up to your chest. You were unintelligibly mumbling and attempting at regulating your breath, but to no avail. Din called out your name, but you did not react. He called out a second time, and yet no response. Din tried a third time, a little louder, but this only made it worse for you. He witnessed as you jumped at the sound of his voice, immediately covering your ears with your palms, and shutting your eyes tight. You kept mumbling, a little louder now, and your breath becoming more erratic every fifth heartbeat.
Din knew not to touch you. When you had your first anxiety attack in the Crest, Din panicked and held you in his arms which only made you more anxious and distraught. You felt as if you were burning and scratched up your arms, and his, as a result.
The more your body shook, the more perplexed Din’s mind became. When he came to the idea of silently speaking to you about the time you managed to convince Ewoks to untie Din on Endor, the ship decided it was the perfect time to jump out of hyperspace, shaking the entire ship once more and bringing Din down to the hull’s floor. You screamed and flailed your arms around as the sudden force made your stomach fall with it. As you scratched your cheeks and tugged on your hair, Din tried getting up and make his way over to you as fast as he could.
Your face, reddened with discolored streaks, and your throat become drier, was enough for your body to ask for breather. Your body had given out, your brain shutting down to lessen the stress, but Din managed to jump and hold your head before it hit the ground.
Din turned to his left as he saw Grogu try to run to your side and raised his right hand to place it on your face. Grogu closed his eyes, but quickly opened them as his father ripped him away from you.
“I know you want to help,” Din sternly says, “but I don’t need both of you passed out.” Grogu huffed a whine and sadly looked down. Din sighed, giving his son a head rub. “You can check on them later, okay? I’m sure they’d love to see you.” Grogu gave his father a toothy smile and cooed.
Din looked back at you and shook his head in disbelief. “I have to get better at taking care of you. You can’t help it, and you were down here alone.” He picked you up, one arm under your knees and the other supporting your neck and walked towards the sleeping compartment. He gently laid you in, placing his cape on top your figure as a blanket. Grogu cooed and pulled on Din’s leg, and when Din gave him his attention, Grogu asked to be put into the compartment with you. Din tried to put him back in his hammock, but Grogu insisted on laying with you.
Din could not say no and that is how he left it. The navigation system began beeping, alerting Din of an update on their course. He gave you one last look before ascending the ladder and into the cockpit to find out the navigation system began a system check.
Fifteen minutes later, Din descended back down into the hull. He knew you were okay, but he wanted to make sure. He checked your breathing and monitored your vitals, sending it up to the datapad in the cockpit. Before he went back up, he walked over to you once more. He unclasped his helmet and placed it on one of the metal containers and grabbed your hand. He gave the back of your hand a sweet kiss before putting his helmet on to steer the ship.
This was Din’s routine for the remainder of the trip. He would come down every fifteen minutes to check on you, even though he had your vitals running upstairs. He’d gaze at his aliit in front of him, his mind wandering into what ifs, and would return to his pilot chair.
During one his checkups, an hour before arriving to Nevarro, he heard Grogu babbling about Maker knows what. He’d rushed down the ladder to hush his son but was met with your droopy eyes and weak smile as you leaned against the metal container.
“Did he wake you?” Din asked. He wanted to make sure you got the rest you needed, even if that meant dealing with the curious kid in the cockpit.
“No. He actually woke up after I did.”
Din nodded his head once, affirming he understood. He remained still by the ladder, worried he would frighten you if he came closer. “I’m sorry about earlier. I couldn’t get the auto-”
“Din,” you interrupt. “You have nothing to be sorry for. The navigation has been acting up lately.”
“You had another attack.”
“I did, yes.”
“I couldn’t help you.”
“You did. I don’t have a head injury, right?” You stuck your hand out to him, a silent plea for him to come closer. When he did not move, you frowned. “Please? Come sit with me.” You jump onto the crate and pat the one next you.
“I promised to protect you,” he said as he decided against sitting and stands in front of you.
“You were busy not letting the ship get destroyed by asteroids, so technically, you did protect us.” You look over to Grogu who was wrapping himself up in his father’s cape. “Isn’t that right, Grogu?” Grogu let out a happy giggle and nodded, making you laugh and Din letting a chuckle escape. You reached for Din’s hand and placed it on your cheek. “You protect us every day. You’ve helped me through so many other incidents that this one will get cancelled out.”
“This one was worse,” Din stated. “You passed out. I have never seen your body just give up the way it did.” You shrug and wrap your arms around his neck.
“But I woke up to our son cuddling with me and to you coming to check on me like you were almost every hour.”
“It was every fifteen minutes,” Din grumbled.
“Hm... then it wasn’t a dream. That’s good to know.”
“What is?”
“That you care about me.” He takes a step back, tilting his helmet.
“Was there ever any doubt?”
You giggled and shook your head, smiling at his question.
“Never.”

MY HEART OMG THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL. ❤️
Take Me To Church: 15

Rating: Explicit
a/n: This is the official end of Take Me To Church, with one more epilogue chapter planned. I want to thank every single person who ever read this - it was the first thing I ever wrote and it holds a very special place in my heart, right alongside these two love sick fools.
I want to give a special thank you to @filthybookworm, who has supported me endlessly during this entire process - she knows and loves this story and these characters just as much as I do and I literally couldn’t have done it without her or her incredible playlists.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN: THE CREST
The light of the fire flickers over the kid’s scrunched features, his head bent over the book splayed open on his knees and his voice is clear and steady as he reads aloud. Din sits next to him, his arms open wide in his lean against the fallen tree trunk and he listens, his attention on the kid, his eyes on the bounty.
Hard to track in the first place, the man has been nothing but trouble since they caught him - weeks to find him, a fight to take him down, a struggle to get him up on the horse - he’s been full of snide remarks all day, trying everything in his power to get under Din’s skin. Clearly angry that he got captured, his barbed insults and scoffs of disbelief rolled right off Din’s back in its straight seat in the saddle; the steady sight of it infuriating the man even more.
He’s restless in his ropes by the fire, shifting in his seat as the kid slowly pronounces the words from his primer into the night and he ignores the tilt of Din’s head at his actions, the look of warning clear on his face. The man huffs when the kid’s reading stumbles, shaking his head at the sight before him and Din narrows his eyes and wishes that the wanted poster had listed “Dead or Alive”.
“What a fucking joke”, the man mutters, his hands tied behind his back as he leans forward, seeking warmth from the bright flames. The man keeps his eyes on the kid, watching his small face look up with a pause before looking over at Din and he smirks at the hesitation, at the look of uncertainty on his features.
“A bounty hunter with a fucking kid”, he laughs darkly. Din’s hand drifts to his hip to hover over his pistol and the man’s eyes flick over to watch the movement while he continues. “I’ve never seen that before. Better bounty hunter than a teacher, I think – you better keep practicing, kid.”
“Shut up or I’ll gag you.” Din’s command is cold, his voice just loud enough to be heard over the crackling of the fire and after a long look at the bounty, he nods to the kid to continue. His hand still rests on his gun, the dollar amount of the wanted poster currently folded in the breast pocket of his jacket eventually deterring him from drawing it. It’s too much to risk he decides; he needs this reward.

Tatooine had never been a location you preferred. The sand and sun beating down on you was not something you desired.
So you’d been less than thrilled when Din had told you that was your next destination. Rumors of another Mandalorian on the planet had drawn his interest. You couldn’t blame him, not with what had happened to his covert.
You bit your tongue and held back any complaints you may have. But traveling to this dustbowl of a town had really escalated your annoyance from a five to a ten. It wasn’t because of the people, the land, or the buildings. No, it was the way Din had begun to act around you and your newfound ally, Cobb Vanth. In addition to the weather, you were about as satisfied with your day as you’d be in a cell.
The marshal had decided you were an interest of his, and dove in head first. Flirtation came easy to him, the bereft touches he’d leave in his wake, whether it be at your arm or back. And at first Din ignored it, which he did well. Even when you’d left the town.
However, the second Cobb mentioned he’d like to take you for a drink after this business with the Krayt Dragon was over with, Din had cupped your wrist in his large palm, pulling you close to him, and denied the proposition for you. Claiming that after this was all said and done, the three of you had to be on your way.
Cobb had furrowed, a shadow of a smirk on his handsome face. You’d shucked your wrist from his grip, a tad shocked, but let it be. It’s not like you minded the attention, even now in the Tusken encampment, Cobb at your right, Din on your left, and the child sat on your lap.
