REBLOG IF IT’S OKAY FOR PEOPLE TO SLIP INTO YOUR MESSAGES TO TALK ABOUT THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY ARE FACING AND THAT YOU’RE WILLING TO HELP AND SUPPORT THEM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
Mental health is really important. Of course, caring for your own mental health is important but sometimes you never know what a how are you feeling, are you alright, a hug or an awareness of the people around you can do. You never know what a message/call, however random or sudden, can halt a person’s train of thoughts, the train that will lead them off the cliff. When someone you know takes their own life and the first thing that slaps you in the face is shock, it is then that all the would haves should haves could haves all scream in unison: outreach and awareness could have been a shield to a sword. Taking one’s life isn’t a decision that’s made overnight. The battle with inner demons is a long process; it takes time and emotional vulnerability to come to terms with what death can do, what it can relieve and what it can’t. Some people may overcome such thoughts, some may never be able to defeat them at all.
I’m saying this because I care. I care for your life, even if you think nobody cares. My inbox is open, 24/7, for you if you need a listening ear. I may not be able to alleviate all pain, but I can offer my hand for you to hold, to ground you, to assure you that you are worth it and your life is precious.
You never walk alone. You will not walk alone.
