((The idea I had while drawing this: Loki is serving his sentence on Earth with the Avengers and actually he’s doing pretty well. It’s just… when both Fury and Odin are visiting for a check-up, Loki accidentally (really, he has no idea what actually happened! It’s not his fault!) transforms all the Tower attendants in cats! Luckily JARVIS is still there to help…))

Ahhhh i can't believe that i have now a name for my numerous ships!!! A fleet!!!! I'm all for it!!!

Seriously though, modern fandom, y’all need to remember that you can, like, ship multiple ships. 

Like I can ship two ships that are diametrically opposed, at the same time, because I like both ideas. You don’t have to choose one or the other. 

Like I can ship, for example, Sam/Frodo, and also Sam/Rosie, both AT THE SAME TIME. I don’t have to pick ONE couple and denounce all others, and tell everyone else that their ships are WRONG and BAD and mine is the only TRUE AND CORRECT ship.

Tony felt like it wasn’t real.

Like it couldn’t be real.

He was seeing it with own eyes, he’d felt the crack of energy through his veins, the utter surge of pure power accompanied by the knowledge that the entire universe would bend to his will—

He knew that it had to have happened. And yet, it still seemed impossible, because it felt like his whole life had been leading up to this moment, that every decision he had made since he’d escaped that cave had led him right here—

“We did it.”

Tony turned to his right, where Steve still had a hand on Tony’s shoulder. His other hand was clasping Natasha’s, who was holding Clint’s, who had a hand on Scott, who was reaching back for Hope—

They’d all helped carry the burden, they’d all borne the force of a thousand suns, sharing the load so that not one of them burned away.

“We did it,” Tony echoed, his own voice feeling small. He opened his fingers, and allowed the gauntlet to fall to the ground—

And then his bare hand was picked up by another, and he turned to his left to see Loki.

Loki had been hanging on to his left hand already, the first that had made the lunge as soon as he had seen what Tony was about to do.

“You did it,” Loki corrected, his eyes shining with something Tony had never seen before. Or rather– was as if a burden had been lifted from Loki’s shoulders, a darkness he had been carrying since Tony had met him now washed away.

And Tony wanted to say something– he wanted to point out that it really definitely had been a we, because without the others he would likely not have made it—

But then Loki used his two hands to pull Tony closer, and leaned down to press a closed-mouth kiss to Tony’s lips.

Tony’s hands tightened around Loki’s as he leaned into it, his eyes slipping closed as he kissed Loki back, their mouths sliding together almost lazily because—

There was no need to rush.

Not anymore.

Now… they had all the time in the world.

And when the kiss broke, they both still remained in place, holding each other close, gazing at each other in silent relief as the field broke into celebration.

The threat was over, they were alive, and they were together.

And really? That was all either of them needed.
