Ooooh!
Ooooh!
But Denmark have decided to switch tk the American model!
So we have cut funding of public healthcare by 20%. Then we doubled that and gave it to private healthcare!
Now we get to have a slightly worse healthcare system with longer waiting time AND pay more taxes AND not everyone can access healthcare.
AND as a main bonus, Danes now experience private healthcare having as short waiting times as as public USED to have, while the public have long wait times.
So now the Danes are in favor of MORE private healthcare so we can get to the american model!

And it is done by saying "This is unacceptable!"
It is done by demanding higher standards.
It is stopped and delayed by "Other places have it worse you know" and "That is just how it is"
The post I just reblogged made me think about "For sale: baby shoes, never worn" and how, now, in our time of dramatically reduced infant and child mortality and increased abundance, the more statistically likely interpretation of that six-word story is this:
"Extended family and friends have gifted us too much stuff for our kid. They didn't even get a chance to wear these shoes before they outgrew them." And if that's not an indication of amazing progress, I don't know what is.
I work a full time job for engineer pay. Making me the breadwinner.
According to weird society standards, this makes me the one carrying my two partners
... exept that is not how it works at all. I CANNOT run a private economy. Things slip through the cracks, bills get payed late, money runs out.
I also am bad at communication that is not about specifically technical things. Those emails, for work or private, I often write in the evning with massive help from my partners.
I cannot decorate a house. So alone I would live in miserable looking places. I cannot clean if it is just for my own benefit.
I can do maybe 3-5 things a day. And when running a household I need to do 15-20 to keep it all running and nice.
But for me, going to work is 1 thing. I can do that relatively easily.
But I WOULD not be able to do hold down a job alone. But with my partners, I can do it easily.
People who need help to function should get the help they need!
So they can be the best they can be.
Because anything else is not jsust cruel. It is also a waste.
maybe harsh take. but. shitting on people who can't care about selves. who live with parents. who rely on partners in 'basic' tasks. (yes even body care tasks). who got chores done for them. who don't work. is ableist. even if clarify 'this specific person isn't disabled.' it still perpetuates stigma. it still ableist.
say exactly what wrong. have they overstepped someone's boundaries? have they pressured someone into care? have they manipulated abused etc.? something else? point wrong behavior. n critique this behavior.
'they're 30 n live with parents' not bad behavior. 'their parent cut their nails' not bad behavior. 'they don't work' not bad behavior.
'but they're abled!' 1) you don't know for sure. can't know for sure. undiagnosed n invisible disabilities exist. not every undiagnosed individual able to take care of self. recognize undiagnosed n invisible disabilities existence not only when they look 'nice' for you. 2) it still contributes to stigma around needing care. disabled people often not seen as disabled. even if visibly disabled. every individual presumed abled because ableism. so disabled individuals will be shitted on because need care. because presumed abled.
to destigmatize needing care. have to destigmatize getting care. even if not see as 'reasonable' n 'justified.' can't destigmatize needing care if say 'getting care depending on others living with parents etc. is bad but disabled is exception.' because still stigmatize process of getting cared.
people don't need allowance n approval of society to get care.
(not say not call out bad behavior. ask call out bad behavior specifically. not stigmatized neutral things).
It is all very very mysterious why we would want that.
It is completely random that it started happening a few years after both major parties found a loophole in the the law that allows them to take bribes.
I guess we will never know

Modern marketing and algorithm content recommenders train you to NOT make choices. To just follow the algorithm.
And... it is not healthy. We have studies saying it is not healthy...
Stuff kids on tumblr better relearn
1. You are responsible for your own media experience.
2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.
3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.
4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.
5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.
reminder: people who run study blogs, channels, accounts are not productive all the time. they are not motivated 7/24. they also have their ups and downs. they fall behind their programs too. don't let the constant productive posts fool you. we are all human. it's alright to fall down as long as you get back up and keep going.
