I Would Love It If Some More Non-Disney Fairy Tales Show Up In Once Upon A Time. The Chipped Cup Was
I would love it if some more non-Disney fairy tales show up in Once Upon a Time. The chipped cup was wonderful, Gaston getting turned into a rose maid me giggle, but I'd love them to mix it up a bit!

I’ve got Baba Yaga on the brain and an itch to combine Belle-leaves-Rumpelstiltskin with the story of Vasilisa the Beautiful. Wasn’t there some part of Baba Yaga legend that she’s an ally of jilted maidens or something? Somehow I just have the idea of Belle with the doll, and being brave, and maybe finding a way of showing Rumpelstiltskin that he’s a fucking idiot.
Or maybe some angsty tale where Belle grows up to be Baba Yaga paddling her way around the woods in a mortar and pestle and hanging out in a hut with chicken legs. You know, whatever.
LOL AM I FINISHED WITH THIS FIC YOU GUYS GAVE ME PROMPTS FOR YET.
NO I AM NOT

Dear Deity (National Day of Prayer
By Stephen Prothero, Special to CNN
Dear Deity,
In the Milky Way, on planet Earth, in the United States of America, Thursday is our National Day of Prayer, so I am writing to ask You how to pray.
Seventy eight percent or so of U.S. citizens are Christians, so should we pray today to the Christian God? This seems to be the conviction of the folks at the National Day of Prayer Task Force, which pops up first if you Google “National Day of Prayer.” (By the way, do You Google, God? And if so do you ever Google "God"?)
The NDP Task Force refers to itself as “Judeo-Christian,” but it sure looks evangelical to me. It has been chaired since 1991 by Shirley Dobson, the wife of Focus on the Family founder (and evangelical stalwart) James Dobson. Its site quotes liberally from the New Testament, and one of its goals is to “foster unity within the Christian Church.”
A NDP Task Force press release begins: “Americans to Unite and Pray on Thursday, May 3rd, for the 61st Annual Observance of the National Day of Prayer." But will their sort of prayer really unite our nation?
Twenty four percent of Americans are Catholics, and God knows they don’t pray the way evangelicals do. Nearly 2% are Mormons and another 2% are Jews. And neither of those groups talks to You with the easy familiarity of born-again Christians.
And what about American Hindus and Muslims and Buddhists? Muslims agree with their Jewish and Christian neighbors that there is one God. But how to pray as a nation when some believers affirm more than one God and some affirm fewer?

Networking, Networking! A call to Pagans in Cape Cod, MA
Having realized that most of the networking sites for Pagans on the Cape are geocities sites that have not been updated since the late 90s, I've decided to put together my own. If you're on the Cape, know about local Witchy/Metaphisical bushiness, pagan workshops, events, covens, temples and groups, are planning on visiting the area, or are just curious about the goings on in that giant Hippie colony that is everything south of the Sagamore Bridge, feel free to check it out and contribute!
Eventually, I hope to organize a few meet ups, Sabbat and other holiday events and maybe even a pride event.

I wasn’t born with the female identity I’ve adopted. And that includes my name. And let me tell you, names are something we definitely take for granted.
Choosing a name was something that I had never even thought of when I first discovered my identity, but it came up pretty quickly. I very distinctly remember the first time someone asked me what I wanted them to call me after coming out to them. My response was, basically, “I’ll get back to you on that.”
There are a lot of things that are very complicated for trans people. Introductions, as you can see by how long this one has taken me, are always one of them.
I've worn it in group rituals, but in private, I just dress comfortably. I don't want tight waistbands or bra under wires breaking my concentration.
I was originally just going to respond to a post dictating about wearing “ritual garb,” but instead of derailing that person’s thread, I figure I’ll start another one.
Does pretty much everyone here have “ritual garb” or sacred clothing of a kind? I’ll admit, I have some...
See the Ten Commandments. Thou Shall not Kill. Pretty simple.
No but srsly guys what is the Jewish view on murder (I’m gonna forget Islam for now, it’s less relevant to my topic). Is murder a thing that is not accepted, is it okay in some situations, etc.?
Sorry I’m just really bad concerning religions that aren’t my own…
