TBH if you still can’t admit this fandom has a problem with POC, considering the fact that Tom Holland (and his best friend and brothers?????) seems to be the only one anyone cares about 80% of the time, and both canon ships presented and offered in the movies have fandoms that have practically already gone silent and are dying out slowly, meanwhile the ratio between that and Imagine! and reader-insert fics are rising at an INDESCRIBABLE UNPRECEDENTED RATE FOR THE MCU then plz stop lmao

Or how sometimes it feels like Black Cat is used as an alternative ship as a white girl for Peter to ship with.

Unless you literally want to tell me all of the Holland brothers are actually more universally attractive and desirable than any other MCU actor (Or tbh any  cast I’ve ever seen in any fandom?!), leading to the fact that people are so thirsty for him. Please. Bring me that.

Like you can like whoever you want, I won’t force you to support the other actors, I won’t even spell out how much this is the same shit that happens in other POC-filled fandoms. And you can say that you’re not a part of the problem, I won’t stop you. But you can’t come to me and tell me there’s not something a little weird going on.

AND PLEASE, do not mention Jacob. Jacob is only useful to most of you when he’s done something funny or if he’s doing something with Tom. He’s a perfect and talented man, not comedic relief for your blog. And he definitely does not serve your “i’m not being problematic, look I love Jacob” bullshit.

Meanwhile Tom Holland puts a cigar in his mouth or gets a haircut and it’s like “JFC WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO NOW”. Or his brothers upload a video on social media and it’s like the entire world stopped.

Do y’all remember when that girl wrote Tom vs. Harrison and Jacob made a joke about not being in there and then the girl wrote about loving him and added him to the photo and he was like “I don’t need your pity”.

Yeah, that’s me about this shit at this rate. I don’t need pretending.

I love Tom, and Harrison and his brothers are fine and seem nice and care about him very much. But I’m just tired of the hypocrisy. At least admit there is a problem. I don’t even need you to admit YOU have a problem yet. Just admit that it’s there, 

Denying it with bullshit excuses is so invalidating for people of color.

I’m not even saying all of you do it. I don’t blame you for not even noticing the trend until it’s brought up. I don’t blame you for noticing that you’re lacking representation of a woman who looks like you being shipped with Peter Parker but DAMN doesn’t that sound like the situation for a certain demographic of people most of the time?
