When Jimin walks into the apartment of Jungkook, he's greeted by the lights still on, and both you and the younger male still very much awake.

Surprising, because it's 2 AM.

"Why are you two still up?" Jimin asks as he finally let's his guard down for once, setting his gun down on the table near the door before he slips out of his shoes and jacket.

"She can't sleep." Jungkook says before you can argue against revealing it, making Jimin sit down next to you on the other side on the slightly worn down sofa.

"Why's that?" Jimin wonders, watching the way you hold your almost empty mug of what he assumes must be tea. Jungkook hoards all kinds of tea in his home for every ache and pain- from muscle ache to stomach cramps or sleeplessness, he always has some sort of remedy on hand it feels like. "And don't hit me with some 'I couldn't sleep without you' bullshit babe, we all know that you love naps." He chuckles, trying to ease the clear tension in your body.

It doesn't work, and that alone makes him more serious.

"I just.. don't want to." You mumble down into your mug almost, Jungkook running a comforting hand up and down your back. He doesn't know either why you refuse to rest, having almost fallen asleep standing upright today because you apparently didn't sleep last night either.

"I don't buy that." Jimin denies. "Spill it. We can't help you if you don't tell us." He presses, and it takes a good moment of silence before you quietly speak up.

"I'm having.. nightmares." You reveal. "But.. they feel too real to just be.. imagination."

"Oh.." jungkook hums towards you in empathy, knowing full well what you must be talking about. "I can.. I'm not sure actually what to do.." he says defeated, looking over at the older male in search of help.

Even yoongi can't just delete the memories for you, because your brain is painfully human and biological. You'll have to accept and work through those memories at some point, one way or another.

"You're safe, no matter what you might dream of." Jimin urges surprisingly gently this time around. "I know it's hard, but from now on, whenever you dream, and you're scared- remember one thing;" He tells you, turning your face a but so you look up.

"When you wake up, we'll be here." He says, and at that, you nod, tearfully, but a little reassured.

And they both keep their promise, because no matter how often you wake up startled by whatever memory has decided to infiltrate your dreams-

They're there.

Always.

Jungkook is a good looking, talented and arguably charming guy. He takes care of himself, has good work ethic- and he's also a massive dick when he's not getting praised to high heavens.

It's something that pisses you off; he never accepts help even if he clearly needs it, doesn't want any input from others, and he also loves to top other people's achievements.

You arrested a drug dealer? Jungkook once helped arrest an entire ring of drug dealers. You helped a little girl find her mother? Jungkook had helped save an entire class full of kids a few years back. You made yourself a sandwich for lunch at home? Jungkook has a full course meal packed. (that's a lie- he basically lives off of the contents of the snack vending machine in the break room.)

It's nauseating.

You're also sure he's sleeping with one of the front desk workers named Amy- with the way she's pressing her tit's into that way too small white blouse, he surely must've found nothing new when he'd undressed her in the toilets last month.

Everyone knew- after all, they'd both been caught, and rumors spread quickly.

"Miss?" your head snaps up as you look at your superior, a bit ashamed at being caught in thoughts. You'd completely drifted off in the middle of a meeting.

"sorry- headache." you apologize, sitting straighter as the elderly man nods in sympathy.

"I understand. As I was saying, you and Agent Jeon will blend in as newbies. We've prepared new identities for the duration." he explained, and only now did you realize what he was probably saying. "Jeon- you're Han Jungsoo, who got arrested once before, but the case against you had been dropped due to insufficient evidence. Ever since then, you'd been smuggling narcotics over the borders." he explains, placing a folder and a box in front of him, before he turns to you. "and you're Park Hana, his main alibi for any trouble with the law and his fiance of six months. Arrested prior for prostitution." he says, making your eyes widen while Jungkook whistles towards you.

"spicy." the fellow agent jokes, while you furrow your brows at your superior.

"is there a problem?" your superior asks- and you want to yell that yes, there's a huge problem, and it's sitting right next to you wearing a shit-eating grin- but you can't pass this off. If you've been chosen as the best fit- then you had to accept.

Stay professional. This is your chance to climb the ladder of hierarchy.

So you shake your head, pulling the box and new identity closer to yourself. "No, sir." you say instead, looking over at Jungkook, who won't drop his stuck up smirk. "no problem at all."

Except for the guy next to you, licking his lips in amusement.

Jungkook: Precious

Don't ever get to close to a dragon's cave, for it will protect its riches and precious metals with ever means it deems necessary. And don't ever dare to steal from a dragon either- for its rage can burn down entire worlds.

You've never been to the mountains before.

Not many of your little village have been either- none of them daring to go anywhere near that place, in fear of ending up as the snack of something so frightening that it only has to be mentioned in order to scare the children back to their mothers. You're like that too- having seen one before how someone had been injured by a dragon's breath of fire. To this day, the man bears the scars heavy on his body- and you know that this was only a small price to pay considering he at least got to keep his life.

But sometimes you have to get a bit closer than you feel comfortable.

Just like now, as you have flown out to collect a certain flower only blooming on the surface of the mountain, having decided jts favorite spot to be between the cracks of its rocks. You're too deep in thought as you're collecting, not noticing the way the clouds above turn from white, to gray, do an angry steel that foretells nothing good. And you only notice too late that you've strayed too far from your group, winds picking up and making it hard to fly down.

You decide on walking, but its hard to do when you're climbing down a mountain.

The first drops hit your already cold skin like gentle touches, before it begins to pour, wings growing heavy and eventually useless against the strong winds of mother nature. You're thrown around like a toy, loosing focus of sky and earth as you hit the surface of the mountain every now and then. You scape your knees and hands, desperate to hold onto something as you're trying to find cover.

And in a moment of pure luch, you find it.

You thank mother nature as your exhausted body falls to its knees, your breath finally slowing down as you watch the storm continue, shivering.

It's seconds later that you hear it. And suddenly, luck turns bad.

You don't have to turn around to know where or from what the rumbling, echoing growl comes from. You can hear it's body move, scales scratching on the floor as it seems to crawl towards you, warm breath suddenly touching your back and shoulders.

You immediately dash away, uncaring of the weather outside.

But its no use, the rain now too dense as you can't find your way anywhere. And you know this is it- this was the day you'd become another name carved onto the stone in the mourning yards, another life added to tha dragon's lengthy list of victims.

You now that this is it when you fall to the ground, skin stinging in several places where you'd scratched it open from the force of the winds.

You know this is it when you feel your heartbeat slow down, body slowly shutting down as you look at the sky above.

And you certainly know this is it, when two glowing red eyes stare down at you, dark scales glistening under the dark sky and strong rain pouring down.

Min Yoongi can sometimes come off as a little withdrawn, a little cold, a little introverted.

And while he does enjoy the company of himself and no one else a lot, he isn't actually all grumpy and stone-faced all the time. He can actually be quite loud sometimes, boosts of energy giving him reason to express his emotions way brighter than anyone could've imagined him to do.

And he also attaches himself to things easily.

Which is why now, after half a year already, his studio had become a little warmer, a little less only-working. There's small toys in a corner, some having left that spot to randomly lay around, while on the couch, a blanket can be spotted that's pink in color. On his desk, right to where he operates the computer mouse, there's a round and soft kitty bed- one that your black form rests in, curled up to sleep while he works away, occasionally running his hand over your body as if to make sure you know he's still there.

Originally, Jimin had found you roaming the streets, exhausted after a severe rain storm, drenched to the bone and shivering cold. He'd brought you home to his bandmates, explained the reasoning behind it, and everyone had thought you'd shift at some point, thanking them before going home.

But here's the thing; you never did.

It lead to Hoseok, Namjoon, Jin and Yoongi questioning the maknaes for maybe assuming wrong or even lying to get a pet- but that's not the case. Jimin was a shifter himself, and Jungkook knew from his family's hybrid what to look out for to identify one. Taehyung said that Yeontan wasn't barking at you- a clear sign to him that you weren't a simple housecat, a species hated by the small pomeranian.

And so eventually, everyone grew used to you.

Yoongi most of all, as he began taking you with him wherever he could; on tours, where you'd stay at his hotel room and sleep the day away, or to shootings and interviews, where you would keep yourself into the background, barely ever seen by fans. Whenever you were, there would always be the question;

"Dont black cats bring bad luck?" They'd ask, some with amusement, some as a simple joke, and others on a serious note.

And his answer was always the same, spoken with a slight smile, uncaring of what people may thought. "I dont think so." He'd say. "I mean, look at me." His bandmates would chuckle at that, and many fans who were hybrids as well would praise him and you, and slowly, fans would become more and more curious about you.

Which eventually led to you roaming freely around, even appearing at some fansigns in the time passing. But there would always be one single question in Yoongis mind;

Why were you not shifting?

Were you not comfortable with him? Was he crowding you, or was he doing something to prevent you from doing so? Maybe you couldn't, maybe you were sick- or maybe you'd be better off in Jimins hands, he was a cat shifter as well. He probably understood you way better than him, probably made a way better fit.

But when he looked at you, sleeping so soundly on his desk, he wanted to be selfish. He wanted to keep you around, to make you happy, and to one day, reveal yourself to him.

He could wait.
