Monkeybones-a crossover au, where MK becomes the adopted son of Soul Eater and Maka Albarn instead of Pigsy and Tang

In this au, MK was born as the biological child of Monkey King Sun Wukong and Demon Warrior Six Eared Macaque, but wasn't actually accepted by his parents or by their monkey subjects. Instead they chose to banish him to the other side of the island where he wouldn't seen or heard from and left to fend for himself. And to make matters even worse they had another child to shower their love and affection towards to instead of MK.

Eventually MK somehow escaped Flower Fruit Mountain and made his way towards a nearby city or village, where he stumbles upon Maka and Soul. Maka and Soul where sent there to uncover mysterious killings of locals and to capture the kishin responsible.

MK discovers that he has both abilities of a meister and weapon just like Maka. Maka and Soul take MK back to Death City to inform Death the Kid and to fully train his abilities.

IN THE PUPPETEER AU

.MK is the adopted child of two puppeteers (still haven't decided on human, puppet or demon)

.MK's parents discovered MK when he was still a cub, while they were foraging for food and wood

.MK's parents names are Xiao Yun and Xiao XingXing

.Yun and XingXing care very deeply for their child and would do anything to protect them from harm, especially from his former family

.Yun and XingXing teach their son puppetry and how to create his own puppet also including on how to install weapons inside and creating/sewing their clothes

.Members of the circus would include MK in their acts (they wanted MK to experience the joy of making people laugh and smile)

.MK creates a monkey puppet (His parents' puppets are some type of clowns or jesters with demon monkey attributes)

.MK names his puppet Ping and treats Ping as if they were his own child or friend

.Ping will eventually gain a conscious of its own and would only recognize MK as its creator/father (just like sun wukong's staff and macaque's shadow)

.MK creates his own acts that includes Ping (knife throwing, trapeze, dancing, playing music,etc.)

.Yun and XingXing train MK and Ping on how to work/perform together

In the Monkeybones au, animals can also have weapons blood are also be considered as a meister's weapon. Animal weapons are considered to be very rare because if a kishin eats the animal weapons' soul, the kishin would be able to unlock their evolution form (their evolution form would be a much more monstrous version of themselves) and if an animal weapon were to be discovered, the animal weapon would fall under the direct protection of Lord Death aka Kid, himself.

Since Mk is a demon monkey, he too falls under the protection of Lord Kid. Mk is only able to access his meister's powers at the moment, but is able to unlock is weapons blood subconsciously just like his mother Maka.

MK's weapon partners are a pair of pocket sized hamsters named Xiǎo Yún (little cloud) and Xiǎo XīngXīng (little star)
