Feeling guilty that you're thinking of the man who got you injured while Soobin is right there giving you all his attention, but you still can't get his face out of your mind – somehow he never seems to go full throttle during your showdowns, suspiciously never actually landing any hard blows – and wonder with a strange hope of your paths will cross again...

the partner you trained with, sparred with when you were young. the one you've known longer and better than maybe anyone else in the world. the one who knows you best- maybe even better than you know yourself. the one who you work with in tandem, like you're one person, your movements falling in perfect synchronization.

I feel like agent! soobin as your long time partner vs rival agent! yeonjun as the one who makes you pause, who makes your movements stutter, who is the reason you catch a stray when you never would've before.

soobin who nurses you back to health, who stays by your side while you recover. who doesn't let anyone else tend to you because he's your partner and this is his job. who cares so deeply even if he doesn't want to admit that maybe his care is a little more than partnered affection.

the guilt that weaves its way into your chest as you recover, soobin's large hand holding yours by your bedside, as your thoughts can't help but return the the beautiful man who you faced off with in the dark alley. can't help but remember the way the flickering streetlamp illuminated his features.

your first mission back is against the same enemy. soobin is held up with a team of agents and you take the opportunity to forge ahead, only to find yourself with the man from before, the one who hasn't left your head in months. his smirk when he recognizes you sends an unexpected flutter through your stomach. you shouldn't feel this way. shouldn't feel drawn to the enemy. but you find, mission after mission, that the brief encounters you have with him leave you wanting to know him the way you know your partner.

Reblogging again (on this blog) to say that when I saw the txt x cat dior video, my first thought was getting touch starved Prince Yeonjun a cat or a dog because he needs and deserves the extra affection and the cuddles 🥺

was talking about the touch starved trope with a friend and out of that convo came the idea for prince yeonjun who is touch starved, who used to love hugs and kisses and affection when he was a child but was later told that he had to "grow up" and "be a proper prince." proper princes bow and maintain their distance, maybe shake hands with those they have ties with, but they never hug or kiss because it's not the proper royal way.

and then he befriends you, a commoner who works at the castle grounds, and he wants nothing more than to hug you. but all those years of being told that it's improper make him too scared to initiate it, and you're too respectful of the prince to start it either, but oh, it eats at him inside when he walks past you and gets close and thinks about how soft your hugs might be...

one day you do get the courage to hug him and you just open your arms, but he hesitates -- is he supposed to do this? so you step back, but the next thing you know he crashes into your arms and wraps you in the tightest hug. and he's so warm and he holds you so close and you can smell the powdery, clean scent of his perfume...

meanwhile he's holding on to you so much because it's been so long and he never wants to let go, never wants to forget the feeling...

I just woke up from a dream where they'd remade the show Merlin as a kdrama with Yeonjun as Arthur and Beomgyu as Merlin. I don't know if anyone will know what I'm talking about, but I had to share.
