Total Eclipse For 3.5 Minutes In The Midwest. Very Cool.

Total eclipse for 3.5 minutes in the Midwest. Very cool.
It wasn’t pitch black, but it was as dark as it would be about 30-40 minutes after sunset.
I’m glad we came back from vacation just in time to watch it. My kids’ schools extended spring break so they could watch it with their families. Kids loved it.

Okay. I feel like these scenes need to be either 24 or 48ish hours apart. Not the ‘I’ve spent the last 36 hours imagining you bleeding out.’
Date NIGHT, candlelit paella dinner, Tamara coming home from school, dark outside = evening
Then we see Lucy sleeping by herself once, she says he called in sick to work (implying once), we see him go into that house in the morning, when he comes to the apartment it’s dark outside and seems like evening again.
So 24 hours?? 28 hours maybe? But NOT 36, right?
These Rookie writers have ZERO respect for time. Or math, apparently.
Yes! They are KILLING Lucy this season. Friends not supporting her. 17st place after killing herself with studying. A near fatal shooting. Tim leaving without telling her his whereabouts. Nolan doesn’t listen to her or help at all. Angela listens nonchalantly and then sort of goes behind her back to help without telling her. Tamara moving out. And now he breaks up with her? 100% awful. Is she going to get cancer in the next episode? Get run over by a car? Have her apartment burn down. It can’t get that much worse. Geez. Talk about a STRUGGLE.
I really hope the writers find a way to vindicate her by the end of the season.
Also, I agree wholeheartedly that they should get back together because the reason for their break up was stupid. They are perfect for each other. Tim just doesn’t know who he is right now and doesn’t feel worthy of love. I think he doesn’t trust himself to do the right thing by anyone anymore.
But GROVELING should definitely be involved. And maybe jewelry. And chocolate?
Just spitballing...
Let me get this straight...
Lucy risked her reputation by dating her superior;
Lucy risked her career so that Tim could advance to Metro;
Lucy in fact did inadvertently stall her career because she helped Tim;
Lucy learned that Tim never truly supported her in doing UC work;
Lucy was left in the dark when Tim up and left, without telling her where he was or if he was alive;
Lucy's life is put at risk because of Tim's lie and keeping her in the dark;
Lucy is left heartbroken Tim breaks up with her in the same location her convinced her that they were 'worth the risk'.
Cool. coolcoolcool.

I’m loving the new role they carved out for Luna. She’s a strong character. The Rookie excels at showing women of color in strong, independent roles.
Well that was… interesting. The writers had more of a dramatic flair than I was expecting.
I’m convinced they get back together based on statements from Alexi Hawley and interviews that Melisssa and Eric have done.
But.
For now.
I….
I just need to find a fluffy fanfic to dive into and forget what just happened.
I don’t think I can write tonight. I just need to crawl into bed and read some fluff.
And forget.
For now.
But I still say that Lucy helps Tim figure things out and he GROVELS and they get back together. I can’t listen to other theories right now.
There are three painful weeks to think more about this starting in the morning.
like i know, i know, they'll be okay mainly because there's no way logically and this is just ✨ canon angst era ✨ but oof that felt like someone just knocked the wind out of me???
and i'm not mad about it but i am surprised like that was such a plot twist. it makes sense though like given the interviews they've given — the chenford one and the one eric just gave this week — like this is tim punishing himself (i think esp bc of how he lied to percy and grey) and literally the entire episode worth we just saw of his trauma
but just the way the rug was ripped out from lucy??? 😭
all i can think about is how this is the same man who told her to take the risk and then took it all away
