Update on the logo:
I did some digging into those symbols, and it looks like they're alchemy symbols. Why a government agency would use that for their logo is beyond me. But I'm starting to get really weird vibes from this whole thing. The website for the O.I.A.R. seems to have been taken down, I guess they filled the job?
Anyways... here's all I could find out about the logo. Any collaboration or info from people who know more about this stuff than me is always welcome!
I was able to invert the colors so maybe that will help.
Looking at the central logo it appears to be an upside down triangle with a central square and circle that matches the symbol for the philosopher's stone (when turned rightside up)
This stone was apparently supposed to turn basic metal into gold and/ or create an elixir of life. So that's the basic logos symbol, but there's more stuff in it.
These triangles look like a combination of the symbols for fire and water, but I'm not totally sure. Maybe they'd have a line across if they were?
One of the images in the center is definitely the symbol for Mercury and one is for salt.
The outside arrows seem to be the symbols for Sulphur...
I don't have a good basis on the other directional arrows or the central triangle with the circles. Anyone who's better with alchemy have any insights?
Anyways, this is all seriously unsettling stuff. Like it has to mean something...right?
