I just want to gently hold GD in my hands and never let anything hurt him, he is too precious with a child.

Make sure all of your needs are taken care of. Hungry/thirsty? Go grab some food or water. Need to take a show? You go take that shower. Tired? Go get some sleep. It may not help with motivation, but taking care of yourself is important.
