The Artist and the Glitch (Story by @waterpuppydragon)

Hi I came up with this and it isn’t any good especially since the formats all wrong it’s supposed to be a comic but I can’t draw so it being bad plus the incorrect format is just horrible but I thought that maybe you might slightly like it anyways so yeah sorry if you hate it and it’s a waste of your time bye  

*It’s a beautiful day, the weather is clear and the ground is coated in 3 feet of sparkling snow* 

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. The Creator rounds a group of trees and gasps as he sees the frigid marvel all of Snowdin is laid out before him. 

From his vantage point he can see everything - the stalactites drooping down from the ceiling, laden with glowing “stars” that shine dimly in the morning light… Beautiful, yet mere shadows of their nightly magnificence. And all the little buildings - each coated in snow and ice smoke curling out of chimneys. 

Some windows dark, others glowing warmly, while a few monsters are out and about. Small ant like creatures from this distance, but each adding to the beauty of the scene. 

For a while the Creator just stares in wonder. 

Then he notices a wooden picnic table standing a little to the side. He hurries over eagerly, brushing the snow off before the artist plops down and begins to draw. And draw. And draw. 

Filling the table at first he just recreated the scene. But his work soon turned to other things. As his creativity takes hold, the skeleton does not notice when the wind picks up fluttering his scarf behind him and blowing a few masterpieces into the snow. He has no skin; the cold does not affect him as it would another. 

And his work absorbs his full attention. Nor does he notice the light waning and waxing switching so that it comes only from the “stars”. He just draws and draws and draws. He does not notice when it starts to snow. He does not notice when a thin layer covers his skull and some of his work. Above all he doesn’t notice the passage of time; he doesn’t notice when his clothes are soaked through; He doesn’t notice he begins to shiver. 

The storm picks up. He barely registers the now violent shaking of his bones which makes it harder to draw. He barely registers the constant chattering of his teeth, but he is stubborn. 

He just wants to finish this last piece - just this last one. 

He doesn’t notice the shaky yawn that slips past his teeth. He doesn’t notice his eyelids starting to droop. He doesn’t notice the slowing of his hand, nor how his skull has leaned towards the paper. 

Then, tired, so tired and cold, so so cold, but.. ‘I just want to finish I have to finish–’ then… darkness.

The Glitch is annoyed. His normal state. 

He marches through the stormy forest, searching for a human, pausing to turn up his hood so that his glasses no longer blur with snow. 

Suddenly he notices something poking out of the snow up ahead. He reaches it and picks it up. A drawing soaked so that the colors run.. but the style is still slightly distinguishable - and it’s one he knows. Ink. 

He calls out. “Ink?” 

He stands up and sees another paper not far off. He walks over and picks it up. A match to the one in his hand. He sees another paper. 

“Ink!!” He shouts, now worried. He follows the trail, shouting the name. 

“Ink!” “Ink!!” “Ink!!!” 

Eventually breaking into a run, screaming the name into the wind. 

“INK!!!” 

He comes into a clearing with a table covered in snow. A mound on the table has a paintbrush partially sticking out. 

Out of breath the glitch goes over and brushes some snow off the mound, revealing a familiar splotch of black paint. 

He curses softly and uncovers the trembling frame, before removing his jacket and wrapping them tightly. Then he scoops up his artist and takes him home.

Darkness. 

He is cold. So so so cold. 

But there’s something fluffy - and something is crackling. He manages to crack open his eyes. He’s wrapped in something soft… and there’s a fire. 

And standing by the fire is a glitch. His glitch. Who is grumbling while hanging something up. 

And the artist feels safe and smiles - before drifting back asleep.

OH MY GOSH, THANKS A LOT FOR SUBMITTING THAT!! I LOVE IT!!! You got me really surprised with that! >u<

But I gotta say, it’s really good! I like your writing style and I like the idea you got. Just… I hope you don’t mind that I added all the punctuations and breaks in between the sentences. Small advice for you - it’s very confusing and frustrating for some people to read a story where there’s no end to the sentence. ;)

Take it slow, add in some breaks, periods and other punctuation marks - and it’ll be a lot easier to read. ;D

But other than that, it’s pretty cool!!!! 

(Is there gonna be more about it? Bc I’m curious why was Ink so obsessed with drawing that it got over his health caring???)
