so, this was actually supposed to be an art study, but I got so carried away that the original artworks became inspiration rather than anything. that said, it was quite a bit outside of my comfort zone, and it was really fun to make. I want to try implementing bright colours into my art more now

since I found it only now I'll have some catching up to do maybe I'll post the previous 3 prompts once I'm done with the whole list, who knows

anyway, now about the actual piece. not gonna lie, I thought it would take me much longer, but it only took about 6 hours at most (with me getting distracted occasionally), which makes me rather positive that I'll be able to see this prompt list at least halfway through. either way, I really like how this one turned out, especially my attempt at introducing more shades with the bluer parts. AND I'd even say that the background turned out decent, which feels rather new since I don't really do those usually. here's hoping the rest of Hermittober goes as well

hello there! let me introduce you to the AU I'm planning on posting here! the name is "Something Is In The Water" or "siitw" for short it's a Gem-centric Hermitcraft (but really I think of it more as a MCYT) AU with the intended genre being horror as for the format, I'm planning on posting it in what I call EvoAU (by @solargeist) style, meaning that for the most part I hope to answer asks and post tidbits, but I am also planning on making sort of comic chapters (not a proper comic tho)

the premise of the story is as follows: One day Gem, who is rumoured to be the infamous pirate terrorizing many seas, arrives to a town where people call themselves hermits under the guise of just moving there, but the goal of her visit is to study the local water and its effects on the locals. For you see, there have been reports of memory issues and in some cases strange mutations, all threads leading to one source: the ocean.
