Note: Hello! This is the first out of fourteen one shots I’ll be writing, leading up to Valentine Days! I know it’s not February (my birthday month), but this is for me to make sure I have enough time to write them all! I do not trust myself otherwise. I do hope you are not tired of seeing me writing for specific “#” lists since this is my third one now. Oops? I promise all fourteen of these will not have a word count for 100! I am going to stop with this little note and let you read the first one shot now! I hope you enjoy and are excited for more! 

Confuse and slowing waking up from a nap that was supposed to be a ten minute but turned into- you check the time on your phone- a two-hour nap?

From JJs bed, you look out of the window and see the sun has fallen. Has so the shirt he threw at your when you first arrived, telling you to change into something more comfortable. You kept him updated throughout the shitty day, he has many texts to prove it, but he still wanted to see you, so he told you to come over when you clocked out. You barely remember, falling asleep as soon as he started giving you a back rub.

So why he is isn’t here?

Turning on your phone to text him, you see a text from him:

“If you are reading this right now, like right now, I went out to grab all of your favorite food. I know, I am your favorite person because of that and for many other reasons. I’ll be back soon! Keep my bed warm.”

You send, “How soon is soon?” as his bedroom door opens. “Perfect timing!”

He sets everything down on the floor next to the bed and leans over to kiss your forehead. “Perfect timing to tell you that I ate some of the food on the way back? What? It smelled really fucking good and I’m surprised you woke up from your beauty sleep-not saying you are not beautiful! But you needed to sl-

“I did sleep so now I need the rest of the food and a real kiss this time.”

“Ah yes, my two other favorite things, food and kissing you.”

You eye him in the corner of your eye as you grab and open the bag, “That was really sweet.”

“Thanks, I am trying to be super sweet and nice, so you don’t kill me inside of your annoying co-worker.”

“Oh my god! That bitch! Did I tell you what she said?”

Chucking, he shakes his head and joins you on the bed. He knows you’ll probably repeat the things you already texted him, but it’s so much better to not hear your voice inside of his head as he reads. More entertaining too. You start laughing with him as he picks up the piece of food that threw out of your hand while you were doing aggressive hand movements while telling him what exactly your coworker said.

You were laying in your bed, the summer was almost at his end, but weirdly it didn’t feel like summer, you still felt numb that goddamn feeling you get everytime randomly. You were scrolling on Netflix to see if anything new or interesting was there, but nothing you already watched most of the shows or just didn’t find them interesting.

You decided to go to sleep, since it was your only real escape from reality, no sadness or numbness, you brushed you teeth and out on a random short you find in your closet, and slowly closing your eyes.

You were about to dumb from the Devil’s Drop you started to run and jumped in the water, but you couldn’t get out of the water it was frozen you tried to break the ice with your fist but it was useless it did nothing, you could see Dodge knocking hard on the ice. But something grabbed you ankle and..

You woke up, your eyes were wide open and you were sweaty, you felt something on your cheek… a tear? For some reasons it made you panic and you started to cry and having trouble to breath, why were you having a panic attack because of a tears ? What happened.

You couldn’t breath anymore, except at some point, you tried to breath slowly like Dodge told you when he was comforting you but it just got worse and worse you grabbed your phone and you could see the big white numbers. 04:00AM, you couldn’t think straight and your brain just controlled you, you searched dodge in the contact hoping he was awake.

You could hear the distant beep that lasted 2 seconds but it felt like a century to you, you were looking everywhere to find some sorts of solutions for your problem something that could make you breath back to normal. You could finally hear him.

« Y/N ? Is everything okay? » it was unusual for you to call at this hour, but not for him

« Do…Dodge plea..please come i can’t-can’t breatfhd » you could hardly form words you failed miserably at making a sentence your words were chewed, but hopefully Dodge understood.

« Y/N don’t move, try to breath slowly y’know like I told you ? I’m here in 2 mins » Dodge lived down the road which made it better for both of you. You grabbed your desk like it was the only thing that could keep you alive.

« Please dodge plea- » you started choking again and crying

« I’m here y/n I’m here » you heard a loud bang near your window you tried to turn around but it felt like you legs were stuck and refused to move » your could feel your window was opening, the fresh air on your back. Dodge immediately took you in his strong arms.

« It’s okay I’m here babe » he was caressing your head and kissing it, you cried in his chest, you could finally breath properly, you were still crying though you were so afraid that you could die.

« Thanks you so much Dodge thanks you » you said between two sobs. He was still kissing your head and making big circles with his hand on your back

« Why would you say thanks you ? It’s okay babe I’m here nothing can happen.. how did that happen ? » you tried to remember the best you could you were still hugging him and hiding in his chest.

« Those nightmares…again.. I’m jumping from the Devil’s Drop, I land in the water but can’t get out and I see you kicking the ice an- » you couldn’t finish your sentence your eyes were getting watery again.

« It’s okay it’s okay, I’m here, Panic is finished, you’re not under the ice and I’m hugging you right now okay? »

« Yeah…I’m sorry I made you come over here » he stopped hugging you and looked straight into you eyes.

« Why would you say sorry ? Yknow I’m always here for you, even if you’re at the end of the world of in an another universe, I’ll always be here for you » he took you in his arms again.

« Dodge…? »

« Hmm ? »

« Can you sleep here ? Or do you have to go back home?» you wished he could stay to sleep, you needed to feel his arms on your waist while you were sleeping it was one of the only thing that let you sleep without any nightmares

« Of course I can » he said with a warm smile while kissing you slowly. You two were walking to your bed and you both laid down on your queen sized bed, he hugged you with his arms on your waist like you loved, and slowly fell asleep.

So like I said it’s my first time really writing a fic so I’m really sorry if it’s bad (and I totally understand haha I find it quite horrible too by the way keep in mind that English isn’t my first language so I know that I make a lot of mistakes) so yeah critics are open (kind and useful ones) thanks you so much for reading!!

No one is fucking talking about it but another black man was killed by the same police department that killed George Floyd they killed him 9 minutes after entering his apartment. No knock warrants are fucking bullshit. He was wrapped in his blanket he was innocent they had the wrong address there is body can cottage you cannot fucking deny this bullshit.

This is being hushed up and covered up and I cannot believe it took me until TODAY, SIX DAYS AFTER IT HAPPENED to find out about it.
