Zlyphia's Fudge
Zlyphia's Fudge
This recipe is from an African American woman named Zylphia, who worked for Lynn Wiley of Salem around 50 or 60 years ago. My family only makes this recipe around Christmastime.
5 cups sugar
1 12oz. can of evaporated milk
2 sticks of butter
Cook ingredients over medium heat in a large pot until it comes to a boil while stirring constantly. Boil for 7 minutes stirring the whole time. Remove from heat and add:
18 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 t. vanilla
Stir these ingredients in until mixture becomes smooth.
Find a large-sized pyrex rectangular pan and line it with parchment paper (This prevents the fudge from sticking to the pan once it has dried). Let the fudge cool completely. After it has cooled, lift the parchment paper on to a wooden cutting board and slice the fudge.

Songs from Rio Rita- Part 1 If You're in Love, You'll Waltz
A Section
If you're in love you'll waltz,
To waltz is but a dream.
For there's a simple charm,
That holds you arm in arm.
A pair of smiling eyes,
That love has sympathized.
You'll laugh and you'll forget-your faults.
If you're in love, you'll waltz.
Chorus
Nothing more alluring,
Nothing more assuring.
Held in grip devine,
Like a sip of wine.
Moments so entrancing,
You're in clouds above.
You don't know you're dancing,
It's a waltz of love.
While heart to heart we'll tell life's sweetest story.

Lemonade
Hey ya'll, I have this great lemonade recipe, it doesn't have any butter though...
For Sugar Syrup:
2 cups Sugar
1 cup Water
1/4 t. Salt
1 T. Ginger (Optional)
Put these ingredients in a pot on low heat. Stir constantly and bring it to a boil. Let it boil for 5 minutes. Take it off the burner and strain it (Especially if you decided to put ginger in).
1 cup (Around 6 Lemons, You can add more)
1 cup Orange Juice
Rind of 2 Lemons (Optional)
Put these into a pitcher. Pour Sugar Syrup into the pitcher. Add water and ice to the 64 ounce (8 cups) line. Put in refridgerator and serve cold.
*Note- This lemonade is very sugary and strong, so only drink a little bit at a time.
This is one of my favorite movies ever! This film shimmers and sparkles still in this awful quality I have presented. Just like me; beautiful whenever!
