Hi this is Lumi to kick off 2024 with a visceral scream I have made a dev blog for my personal progress working on the Adventures of the Guardians series production.

I will be posting every day while working on production. These posts are not meant to be polished or clean, but are more as a way to keep track of my progress as lead/for your viewing entertainment.

AOTG is a fan series that takes place after the 2012 movie Rise of the Guardians.

Animatic: final scene of episode 1

If you joined us on our YouTube livestream on November 21st, this may look familiar. If not...surprise! We reveal to you a special animatic from the pilot episode of the fan-animated rotg series. Along with that, we are thrilled to also present you the title of the series, "Adventures of the Guardians"!

Big thanks to @lumin0usfox who brought life to this animatic joined by @sleepymothillustration who worked on the cleans, and @hezuart and @thesleeplessdream who worked on backgrounds.

Good afternoon everyone! (or whatever time of day it is where you are). Albeit a bit close to the date, I am excited to finally announce that the team @lumifoxproductionstudio will be hosting a draw pile livestream, with one Jack Frost as the main character for the draw pile. the livestream takes place on our youtube channel (link) on Sunday, August 20th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST. Be sure to mark your calendars, we have several surprises in store~.

In addition to the drawpile and surprises we have:

- Opened a newly refurbished public discord server! A place to chat with friends (and make new friends) about ROTG, AOTG and...well, anything really! Get a chance to meet the crew and ask questions about future projects. In the Discord you can even submit drawing requests before and during the stream!

Although it doesn't seem obvious from the perspective of social media, the studio has come a long way since its founding, a lot of which, the general public doesn't usually see on a production. I haven't been the best at posting, but I would like to show more of the inner workings of creating an animation, which, I hope a public discord will help connect you guys (the audience) with the artists on the discord. Alright! I will be posting this to the official studio insta as well, and follow up with reels when it gets closer to the date.

CALL FOR WORK!!! As we continue developing the ‘Adventures of the Guardians’ series, we also strive to grow our studio as much as we can with artists - and you can be a part of it too! Roles we are most in need of include, but are not limited to, voice actors, 2D animators, department heads, and more! Please make an important note that work on the studio is unpaid and volunteer-only at this time, but the experience can still be valuable for those wanting to expand their work as an artist! Happy almost birthday Rise of the Guardians!!🎉❄🥰Tomorrow is the 11th anniversary of when the movie first premiered! As a special surprise treat, the Lumifox Crew will be playing Gartic phone and Phasmophobia tomorrow! Something fun and hopefully less stressful (ah who am I kidding, Phasmophobia is going to stress me the heck out, its so scaryyy ;w; ) ANYWAY!

Livestream will be running on the @lumifox_productions youtube channel on November 21st, (tomorrow), from 1:00 pm EST to 7:00 PM EST! Feel free to come and go, as were doing something I might regret, a 6 hour livestream! That's right, its a double feature, featuring:

It's been almost nine years since DreamWorks released Rise of the Guardians, and almost three since the last book of William Joyce's Guardians of Childhood series was published. With the lack of the film's sequel or TV series, and the ambiguity in which our beloved characters were left with in the conclusions of their stories, our artists for this studio have gathered from across the globe to help create an animated series of our own. We are in full understanding that we do not own Rotg or Goc, so all future donations/support will go specifically toward the growth of our studio and not the fan-project, but will still be highly appreciated. We wish to shed light back upon the magic of our childhood beliefs, revive the imaginative legends we once loved, and relive the beauty of the universe which these characters are from and expand upon both what the film and novels touched and what was left behind.
