Both to show Yellow love and support, but also to spite Green as well. To punish him as the internet is wont to try to do towards those it becomes angry towards.

And it upsets Green. Angers him. Makes him feel like he's lost control, like they've stolen this from him.

And pushes him into doing something dramatic...
