This is Amer, he is a Palestinian man from Habalia and a refugee in Rafah. He reached out to me to share his message to the world. This is his message:
I've been talking back and forth with him and he has children, one of which is a baby. He has shared some photos and videos of his kids and his travel documents which he would like to keep private.
He needs to be able to get food for him and his children which has been extremely difficult since basic necessities have been price gouged. He told me a bag of flour went from 60 shekels to 650 shekels.
I was able to send him some money to get food but he is going to need a constant stream to keep him and his kids fed. He was able to get milk and flour but still needs more food and he would like some coffee.

Growing up Arab literally means you’ve been told it’s your fault your whole life. That’s why it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest when I see think pieces out there about how “well they’re not MY children” “why should I boycott Starbucks for people I’ll never get to know or meet” “I’m not political so it’s not really my business” like that kind of thinking is exactly why Arab suffering has been perpetuated for so long. If it’s not your problem, then whose is it? Because at this point—when multiple countries like Palestine and Sudan are facing ethnic cleansing in real time—it has to be somebody’s problem.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is pushing harder for a cease-fire in Gaza and demands that the United States send “not another nickel” to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“My view, not another nickel for Netanyahu’s government if he’s going to continue this wholesale slaughter of the Palestinian people,” Sanders told MSNBC’s Alex Wagner Friday.
Sanders’ declaration comes just days after the death toll in Gaza surpassed 30,000 people since the start of the war on Oct. 7, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. More than 100 Palestinians in Gaza City were killed and more than 700 injured Thursday, when Israeli soldiers opened fire on the people scrambling to access humanitarian aid, some media outlets reported.
Sanders, who recently voted against sending more aid to Israel for its war against Hamas, stressed the importance of stopping the “unprecedented humanitarian disaster.”
The Vermont senator argued that President Biden, who has put pressure on Netanyahu and Israel to scale back its attacks, is taking “an important step forward,” but argues that “we need to do more.” Biden said Friday that the U.S. will begin airdrops of aid to Gaza amid negotiations for a cease-fire.
Sanders said Biden should be telling the Israeli government to open borders so trucks of food, water and medical supplies that are critical to the more than 1 million refugees in the region can be delivered.
During the interview, Sanders said that “it’s totally absurd” that the United States is sending humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, but also supplying Israel with the funds and military capabilities to hurt those civilians.

A not so friendly reminder. Rafah is under is under attack and has been since Sunday. Tell again how this isn’t a genocide? They were forced into this “safe zone”, but it’s no longer a safe zone. The Zionist have taken a page out of history’s worst playbook. Enough quit saying it’s about the hostages, it never was, because if it was they won’t be targeting and terrorizing “safe zones”.
The thing is... Israel admitted to this from the very beginning.
They said the confessions were obtained through 'interrogation' in the Shin Bet aka torture (Shin Bet is where they like to torture Palestinian prisoners for intel) so every country that cut funding to the UNRWA knew from the beginning that Israel was using false forced statements.
The famine in Gaza is partly due to this. Never forget that.
