THROUGH A RAPIST’S EYES” (PLS TAKE TIME TO READ THIS. It may save a life, It may save your life.)
An Article from Neena Susan Thomas
“Through a rapist’s eyes. A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interview…ed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:
1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid, or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.
2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.
3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.
4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.
5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.
6] Number three is public restrooms.
7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.
8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.
9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.
10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.
POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:
1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.
2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.
3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.
4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh – HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.
5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.
6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.
7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don’t dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel little silly at the time, but you’d feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.
FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ….
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.
2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you…. chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .
b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
c. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.
Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it’s better safe than sorry.

pairing: idol!hyunjin x idol!oc (named Yuna)
summary: being an idol doesn't take the human out of a person. They want to love and be happy just like anyone else. The difference is that she wants to love Hyunjin in a more unique way.
warning: none
disclaimer: just something that was sitting on the drafts as rant thoughts that I decided to actually finish. Lunar is the name of OC's fandom

'@ user4356_ she looks tired, hope everything is okay '@ luvhyunnie Hyunjin deserves so much better. Stop forcing yourself on him, it's sad' '@ yoonamarryme are you and hyujin dating?' '@ user09239 you look pretty! can you say hi to Germany?' '@ staaay_jinnie STAY AWAY FROM HYUNJIN YOU S*l**!!!!!!!'
Scanning the commentary section, Yoona felt her heart drop. Doing live all by herself these days has become harder without her teammates filtering most of the harsh comments directed towards her.
It only took one innocent interaction with him at the Versace event in France for the internet to go into a frenzy of speculations and numerous theories about their relationship. Old clips of quick glances, group interactions, and what they believed were matching jewelry joined in compilations of videos were shared over and over again around the fandoms.
Yoona glanced at the staff behind her, watching as they monitored the comments and shook their heads at her. She bit her lip, pondering for a moment before she averted her eyes back to the camera.
"Guys..." she sighed, laying her chopsticks down next to the bowl of her half-eaten food. Closing her eyes for a moment, she tried to recollect herself.
It's just too much. She could only take too much.
"You know I'm human, right?" she questioned softly. Staring at the camera as if she was staring right into their eyes. "I am 26 now. I'm an adult. I have experienced, seen, and heard a lot of things, and I still will experience many more. I have feelings, just like everyone else. I feel happiness, sadness, frustration, anger… Sometimes I'm jealous, sometimes I'm insecure, other times I'm really confident... I feel everything you feel, and I want to be able to feel them." She nodded, ignoring the upcoming comments and the staff's concerned gazes from behind the camera.
"I am going to be honest with you. To me, love is the end goal. When I'm no longer 'pretty enough' to be an idol, when I'm old and grey I really want to be able to sit back and say 'I'm happy. I did everything I wanted to do and shared it with the people I loved the most and I know they loved me too.' That's what I want the most. Is it wrong for me to want to love and to be loved by someone? Do I not deserve this as a human being?" her eyes glazed with emotion.
"Today I know I have my family, friends, and Lunar's pure love. And I love you so so much. But I want to have a partner in life someday. Someone that is very dear to me and makes me happy, someone that makes me love in a different way. Is it really that selfish of me?..." Her head tilted to the side in wonder.
She pondered for a moment and took a deep breath, nodding her head as she said, "I guess, sometimes we can be selfish like this."
"I still don't have this person, but I hope I can be with them soon. I hope to have a beautiful love and be really happy! And when I do, I want to be able to share it with the people I love the most, and I can only hope to have their support and respect back." she smiled hopefully.
"To finish this monologue that has been long," she laughed quietly, "Please remember that, at the end of the day, we, idols, are human beings just like you. We want to be happy just like you, and words hurt us just like it does... to you. Please always be kind and respectful to people, okay?"
Yoona decided to end her live not long after, wishing lunars a goodnight and to stay healthy before closing the app.
Thanking the staff, she waited for them to leave the room before she unlocked her phone, a smile blossoming on her face at the text waiting for her reply.
from jinnie <3 the sky looks beautiful tonight reminded me of you and now I’m missing you let’s watch the stars tonight
Yoona didn’t lie when she said she didn’t have her person yet, technically. She and Hyunjin weren’t official, but were rather enjoying the phase of slowly getting to know each other and the little things that made them feel butterflies fluttering on their stomach.
Right now, sitting by the Han river, sharing a blanket and secret kisses with him sounded like paradise to her
To jinnie <3 let’s go

pairing: idol!hoshi x idol!oc (named Hyejin)
summary: the lifestyle of an idol was hard, even more so when relationships were involved within public knowledge. But, maybe, you two were just lucky
warning: not revised, little angst (?), fluff
disclaimer: just watched Hoshi in Even Though There's Nothing To Eat and this came up :) anyways, English is not my first language, so apologies in advance.

Lee YoungJi glanced at the camera crew and back to the man sitting next to her.
"I love Pledis so much. I love Pledis and Hyejin so much," Hoshi cried and turned to YoungJi. "You know why?"
"Why?"
"She is the best person in the whole world. She supported me through everything, you know? I am really really grateful and lucky to have her. She loves me and accepts me like I am, even though I am weird"
"You're not weird!" YounJi was quick to said. "Your personality is unique and that makes you really cool"
Hoshi sniffed, "Really?"
"Of course! Don't cry, Hyejin will kill me if she knows you are crying here," she laughed, and Hoshi giggled at the idea of his beloved frowning face.
Then he remembered she was not there and pouted, "I miss her"
"That's right, she is on tour, right?"
"Hm," he nodded, "She's in Europe right now," he smiled proudly his eyes searched the camera, and looking directly at it, he said, "Lunar fighting!"
YoungJi clapped and urged them to do it together again.
The clip ended with the two with bright smiles and Hyejin couldn't help her own.
"Woah, this was so cute," the female host said turning to look at Hyejin.
Finishing the promotion for their latest album, Hyejin and two other members were inviting to a radio show to talk about music, life and news.
"So cute," her fellow member squealed, putting a hand on her heart. Hyejin rolled her eyes light heartedly.
"Is this your first time watching it, Hyejin?" the male host asked.
"No, I have watched it before," she said adjusting herself on the chair.
"She cried when she watched it," the other member, Nari, snitched.
"Yah"
"Really?" the female host asked.
"Yah..." Hyejin glared at Nari before sighed. "I little," she confessed and the hosts urged her to tell more. "We were in China when the episode aired and had just come back from the show when I saw all the mentions and hashtags trending. I was only able to see what was going on when we got to the hotel and I watched the edits on Twitter about this clip. I don't know... it made me tear up," she shrugged trying to not make a big deal off it.
"Aw... You and Hoshi have been together for quite some time, right? Do you mind sharing how you two met"
"Oh, hm..." she glanced at her manager, seeking approval from her. Once she got a nod, she continued. "There was a dance collaboration with 96' liners and we were both invited to participate alongside Twice's Sana and Momo, NCT U's Ten, and Seventeen's. Jun. We all became friends really fast, and SoonYoung and I just kind of hit it off... Oh, it is really weird telling you that," she said with an awkward laugh.
Even though it has been a year since the relationship was outed and confirmed, it still felt weird to talk about it openly.
"You two seek to have such a nice relationship. It's really clear in the way he talked about you on the show," the host said referring to the clip they just watched.
"Yeah, I mean..." Hyejin breathed in for a moment. "I feel like we were really lucky. When we started dating there was always this... tension? Like, there was always this fear off getting caught and put on the spotlight for something we were not ready to share with the world... We knew that with out careers it was almost inevitable that it would happen someday, but it actually gave me so much anxiety." she chuckled. "Everytime we got out I was anxious because in the back of my head I was thinking 'maybe there is someone watching us. Maybe the is someone taking videos, taking pictures, and tomorrow when I wake up it will be chaos"
Hyejing cleared her throat, feeling a little comforted by her member taking in her hand and the others nodding along.
"Unfortunately it happened when we least expected," she said, remembering the chaos the internet became when blurry photos of a date night between her and Hoshi came out. "When I said that I feel we were lucky, I mean in a sense of the support we received when everything went down. Both of our fans were mostly supportive of us and were happy that we were happy. Of course, not everyone had nice things to say, but I was really thankful to see them supporting us and asking others to respect our privacy"
"It must have been so overwhelming," the female host commented with a frown. "It's really sad how some people still think is ok to expose these things."
"Yeah. Even public figures should have the respect of some privacy," her male counterpart added.
"It really was. SoonYoung and I were scared in the beginning, but the amount of love and positive feedback we got made us more confident and comfortable in confirming everything."
"And it was one hell of a confirmation," the male host laughed, making everyone join as Hyejin looked down embarrassed.
After weeks of speculation in both fandoms and the kpop world, Hoshi and Hyejin, as well as their companies agreed to confirm the relationship. They were together for two years and no plans on changing that anytime soon, and since the public generally received the possible situation better than they expected, they agreed it would be better to just confirm. Although the couple were clear it didn't meant they would be sharing much of their relationship online and asked their companies to make it known on their statements.
It would be a total of four statements. Both companies as well as their own personal posts, and it would be published after the award show.
Hyejin's group would be performing and Seventeen would be present on the event as well.
It only took a couple of seconds at the end of their performance act to make everyone, both present and online to go wild. It was no news to everyone the rumors going on about Hyejin and Hoshi, some idols already knew the facts, some didn't. But during the ending fairy, when the camera panned to Hyejin, she stared at it for a brief moment before putting her hand near her face in a claw motion and moving her lips in what could be translated as 'Horanghae', giving the camera a quick wink before she started laughing"
"It was iconic!" her fellow member said remembering the scene. "Almost gave me a heart attack though"
"You didn't know?"
"No! I don't think anyone knew"
"I didn't tell anyone," Heyjin confirmed. "It was a spur kind moment," she chuckled.
"And it went down to history," the host commented. "Thinking about it, your personalities match so well!" he said and the other host laughed, agreeing with him.
"They are so alike, but really different at the same time," your member said. "They complement each other really well"
Hyejin smiled at the comment, feeling giddy as she remembered of him.
"Ayy, look at her all blushy," your other member teased making everyone laugh.
"Aish, stop"
"You guys are really strong, huh?"
Hyejin nodded, "I think everything we've been through made us closer and stronger. It's really weird saying it out loud, because I have never been one to believe in soul mates or anything like that, you know? But then I met him and... I don't know..."
"You think you were just meant to be?"
Hyejin nodded, a silly smile appearing on her face, prompting another round of teasing.
"Yah, enough enough," she laughed, ready to move on from the topic.
"Before we move on to another topic," the male host turned to Hyejin, "Hyejin, do you have any message for our tiger boy?"
"Oh boy..." she chuckled embarrassed. "Okay," she turned to one of the cameras filming them. "SoonYoung-ah, I hope you have been eating well. I hope to see you soon, I miss you. Fighting. Seventeen, fighting!"
...
Hyejin let the door close behind her as she moved to take off her shoes. Tour and promotions were finally over and she had some time to rest before everything began again.
"Baby?" she called walking further into her apartment.
It was already late into the night, but the kitchen lights were on and the shoes by the doors indicated she wasn't alone in the house.
Moving towards her room, she stopped in her tracks as soon as she caught sight of the sleeping buddle on her bed.
Slowly, she made her way towards it and sat down on the edge of the bed, watching her boyfriend sleeping peacefully. He had a pout and she felt her heart clench with just how cute he looked at the moment.
Carefully she started running her hands over his hair, "Soonie, wake up," she called, watching him move a bit but no motion of waking up. "Baby," her hand moved to his face, "It's time to wake up,"
A few more calls and she caught on the slight motion under his closed eyelids and the tremble in the corner of his lips with threatening smile. He was messing with her.
"Baby tiger, I'm home," she mumbled, kissing the corner of his lips. It has been a few months since the last time they were able to physically see each other, and talking about their relationship on the radio interview made her eager to see him even more.
Hoshi mumbled, a tired smile appearing as his eyes slowly opened. His eyes were so beautiful and he looked so cute that Hyejin just wanted to hold him tight and never let go.
"Jinnie?"
She hummed, "It's me, honey"
The smile on his face stretched lazily. In a fraction of an second Hyejin was laying next to him with Hoshi's leg trapped over her and his head nuzzling on her neck, breathing in her scent as he hugged her as close as he could.
"Finally," he mumbled. "Missed you"
"I missed you too, so much" she moved as best as she could so she could hold him as well.
"Are you hungry? Did you eat?" he asked tiredly, hands caressing her back softly.
Hyejin hummed, "Me and the girls stopped to eat before they dropped me here"
"Good," he nuzzled further, placing a kiss on her neck. "Cuddles and sleep then," he said moving around to allow her under the covers, only to attach himself on her as soon as she was comfortable.
"I like the idea," she sighed contently, basking on his warmth.
"Good... Tomorrow I'll rock your world"
The laugh that fell from her lips made Hoshi smile against her, placing one last kiss on her skin as he felt sleep overtaking.
"I love that idea"
"Good... I love you, babe"
"I love you, tiger baby"
Noah's Room

A/N: Please reblog :]
"Alright kids, you can look after yourselves for an hour, right?" Chan slides his arms around his two teenagers, pulling them both close to him as he ruffles their hair. They reply with various levels of disgruntled laughter, and Chan chuckles.
"Where are you going?" Noah asks curiously. "Out?"
"No, no," Chan shakes his head and steals a slice of peach from Sky's fruit bowl. The girl frowns at him and he laughs as he shoves it into his mouth. "It's Sunday. Studio time."
Sky tilts her chin up. "Therapy?"
"I'm not a therapist," Chan chuckles again. "Just … a guy who still wants to help his old fans, you know? And any new people who manage to find me. Chan's room, from home. Live and in stereo."
Sky giggles at her father and she digs out another slice of peach; she hands it over to him and he speedily gobbles it up like a vacuum. "You're an old man therapist."
"And you've been hanging out too much with your Uncle Seungmin," Chan groans. "No doubt he's been saying 'oh Chan is half a hundred now' these days."
Sky gasps. "How did you know?"
Noah and Sky both laugh when Chan's shoulders sag as he dramatically sighs, his face distorting with a hearty eye roll.
"Okay, this old man is now heading to his studio," Chan shakes his head, standing up properly again and stretching loudly. "Don't break anything."
"Wait," Noah pushes his empty dinner plate away. "Can I come?"
A huge grin suddenly spreads across Chan's face. "You want to come with me?"
Noah nods, his curls bouncing around his forehead. "I want to see what you do. I'm curious."
"What about Sky?" Chan asks, cocking his head to the side. "Want to come too?"
Sky wrinkles her nose and shakes her head. "I'm going to eat more peaches and then I'm going to watch TV. Maybe I'll go bother mama in her art studio."
Chan laughs and leans down to kiss her cheek. "Alright. If you need anything you can come bother me too, okay?"
After registering Sky's nod of understanding, Chan gestures to his son to follow him; they make their way to the spacious hall, Y/N's art studio shut firmly on the left side. Through the French windows, Y/N catches sight of them, and she grins, waving at them both with paint stained hands.
Noah and Chan giggle as they both wave back before Chan opens the door to his own studio opposite his wife's; he ushers his son inside and immediately snaps on his lights.
"It's so purple in here," Noah snorts, amused. "Why?"
Chan shrugs with a smile as she pushes some things out of the way so he can make way for another chair. "It's cosy," he drags a chair to his desk, setting them both up together in front of three large screens. "And in a physiological sense, purple is a calming colour - it calms the mind and the body, and if it has a blue undertone, it can help soothe and lower blood pressure and heart rate." Chan suddenly huffs and stretches his back, his brow red. "Don't think my heart rate is lowered right now though."
Noah chuckles. "Does purple really do all that? What about red?"
"Well red is the opposite," Chan explains. For some reason he's now under his desk, his voice distant as he rummages around amongst some cables. There's a loud bang and he yelps as he emerges again, banging his head. "Ow. Red is more energising and stimulating and is linked to passion and sexual stuff. Definitely not the vibe I want for Chan's room."
The father and son duo both laugh at that, and Noah flops down into one of the cosy chairs as he raises an eyebrow. "Have you ever used red? For Chan's room?"
"Oh gosh," Chan sits down next to his son and leans back, thinking back to twenty odd years ago. "Yeah actually," he starts laughing, rubbing his face as his cheeks begin to flush in memory. "There was this one song called Inferno, by the group your uncle Matthew was in - I played that a few times with red lights."
"Didn't you have a song called Red Lights?"
Chan aggressively clears his throat and he immediately turns his computer on. "Let's not go there Noey. That's … yeah let's not."
"Why not?" Noah teases the man, and Chan lets out an embarrassed squeal in response. "What are you hiding, dad?"
"Nothing!" Chan giggles, his face lighting up with the glow of the computer as he clicks around different programmes. "Absolutely nothing, Noey. I'm an innocent man."
Noah raises an eyebrow at how flustered his father has suddenly gotten. He smirks when Chan clears his throat again before clicking onto the software he uses for his livestreams.
Just as he clicks record, Chan suddenly stands up. "Hold on, I'll be right back. I've forgotten my phone."
He turns to exit the studio and Noah's eyes widen as the screen goes live, the sixteen year old freezing when he realises how many people have all of a sudden joined.
"Dad," he groans under his breath as he leans forward, his hands slipping into his curls. He squints as comments fly across the screen, and he furrows his brows as he tries to read one. "'Where's Chan?'"
He reads a few more: Who are you? You're not Chan. Wait, are you Chan's kid?
"Hi," Noah says quietly, waving slowly. "I'm Noah. Chan is my dad. He went to go get something."
He squints as more comments flood the screen. "'Tell Chan to come back, I want to ask him for some help'," Noah leans back in his seat and looks out of the window. "He'll be back in a minute. Um … I know I'm not my dad but maybe I can … help?"
Noah watches quietly as people continue to flood into the stream, the comment section becoming more and more packed by the minute. He spots a question from the previous person and he tilts his head to the side as he reads it. "'The guy I like called me ugly and now I hate myself. What do I do?'"
"I'm sorry he called you ugly," Noah wraps his arms around himself as he leans his elbows on the table, trying to think about how to respond. "Don't hate yourself because someone insults you … I don't think ugly people exist, everyone is beautiful in their own way, you know? And um … like … just because someone doesn't like you, it doesn't mean you're ugly or like, something's wrong with you. That's like saying … just because some people don't like … bananas or something, means it's a bad fruit. But it's not, there's other people who like it," Noah suddenly laughs, rubbing the nape of his neck just like his father when he feels awkward. "I'm sorry I'm not the best at explaining things. But I'm sure you're very beautiful - there will be someone else out there who will like you for who you are, so don't worry about it."
He leans forward again and notices the person has commented a dozen teary eyed emojis with a thank you. Noah smiles. That felt good, he thinks to himself. I want to help more people.
The sixteen year old lands on a different comment. "'You sound like your dad'," he chuckles, suddenly taken aback. "I do?"
A chorus of 'yes!' floods the screen and Noah smiles happily, his freckled cheeks flushing pink under the purple lighting. "Thank you. My dad is probably my biggest role model out there … so that's a really nice thing for you guys to say."
He suddenly laughs, a squeak emitting from his mouth when he reads another comment. That's what your dad used to say about his dad.
"Wait, really?" Noah asks. "You're not pulling my leg?"
"'He used to talk about his dad with love hearts in his eyes. It was the same look you have in your eyes right now'," Noah reads, and suddenly shy all over again, he covers his face with hands. "Well, my grandad is an amazing man too. He's my role model as well … dad and him are so similar. They're really gentle and kind but strong at the same time? I want to be like that too."
Noah then clears his throat, embarrassed. "Anyone else have anything they need help with? You know, before my dad comes back."
Noah softly drums his fingers on the desk, sinking further into his oversized hoodie. His eyes scan the comments and he sits up when he reads a particular one that catches his attention.
"'How do I love myself?'" Noah reads the question aloud before leaning back in his seat. He swivels around for a moment, collecting his thoughts as he folds his fingers over his stomach, head on the back of the chair.
"Hmm," he purses his lips. "There's only one of you on this earth, yeah? That means, out of the near eight billion people, you're unique, you're special, and no one else has what you have … my dad always says that no matter what, no matter who you are, what you are, what you believe in … you deserve to be loved. And I think that doesn't just mean you deserve to be loved by other people - you deserve to be loved by yourself too. You're … worthy? Of love from yourself. I bet you probably have lots of love to give others - you should save some for yourself too because you're precious and you deserve it," he taps his chin before breaking into a shy smile. "Am I going overboard? I think so, I'm sorry."
Just then, the door of the studio opens and a goofily smiling Chan walks into the room. His eyes are suspiciously bright as he sits down beside his son, and he sniffs secretly as he leans back, a fond smile on his lips.
"Hi guys," he waves his fingers at the camera. "Sorry I'm late. I see you've met my Noah, huh? Looks like he's giving out advice now too."
Noah groans. "You heard?"
"I heard," Chan nods, and he slides an arm around the shy boy. "You answered that question beautifully."
"Thanks dad," Noah smiles crookedly. He nods his head towards the screen where people are sending 'awww's in the comment section. "They said I sounded like you when you were younger."
Chan chuckles. "Oh? How so?"
Noah shrugs, scrolling through the comments before pointing them out to his dad. "Because I said you're my role model. And they all said you said that about your dad back in the day."
At that, Chan seems to freeze. He shuts his eyes for a second and when he opens them again, they seem even brighter than before. "I'm your role model?"
Noah nods simply. "Yeah. You and grandad."
Swallowing hard, Chan suddenly pushes away from the desk again. "I'll be right back," he whispers before exiting the room again, and Noah's eyes widen when he hears a loud sob in the hall.
Noah chuckles nervously. "Sorry guys," he says to the screen. "Don't think dad is coming back … I think he's a bit incapacitated."
He curls his legs up into the seat and grins cheekily. "Looks like this isn't Chan's room anymore. How does Noah's room sound?"
