Sorry, but I hate how Disney just decides to make everyone look like Rapunzel instead of modeling characters that actually look distinguishable.

Like seriously there are so many beautiful women out there:

Really dark skinned women

Albino women

Women with vitiligo (I added this guy too because he looks sick)

Women with unconventional (yet beautiful) facial features

Women with noses that don’t fit in the beauty standards:

Women with acne, feckles, birthmarks, scars, etc

Women with different eyebrows (or none!)

And there is honestly so much more I could add, but this post is getting long, it is a shame Disney doesn´t want variety. If you take a look at their concept art, there is some creativity, like Asha´s original pointy chin, but then they just ignore it and change the final draft to look like Rapunzel.

At this point representation isn´t even the main problem, cause if it depends on Disney they will make princesses of all etnicities that can be capitalized but all will look like frickin Rapunzel.

I personally think Cleo from Kane Chronicles should be Arab Brazillian.

As a brazillian, I think that Latino representation in general sucks since they only portray characters that look like Marco Diaz, ignoring the gigantic racial diversity of Latin America. Latinos that are Asian (by that I’m referring to the whole continent) descendente have it worse, honestly, gringos barely acknowledge their existence.

Arabs are a relevant group in Brazil, despite not being as numerous as black people for example. We adopted parts of Arabic languages into our own languages (Alface, lettuce is an example, with the usage of the prefix “Al”), we eat Arab food (kibbehs are a classic here, and one of the biggest fast food names in Brazil, Habibs, serves Arab food), etc.

Cleo is Egyptian descendant, an Arab country, it makes sense for her to be Arab brazillian considering how many Arab immigrants came to Brazil, including people from Egypt.

Honorable mention to my friend, who is Lebanese descent and inspired me to do this post. That being said, that’s why I belive Cleo should be Arab brazillian.
