Idk Why But There Is Something Unusually Funny To Me About Will Wood Using Social Media Extremely Sparingly

idk why but there is something unusually funny to me about Will Wood using social media extremely sparingly but making an exception to post this long ass rant about how much he hates the Netflix Wednesday show on his youtube community page

Who's the 'they' you're talking about tho? If you are worried about being misunderstood, If you actually don't mean to equate the queer community with pedophiles and their defenders you should clarify who is making those statements. News flash: It's not the queer community, although you are very clearly insinuating it is.

“It’s homophobic and transphobic to be against pedophilia” you’re making some very interesting equivalencies there hmm

I thought this was about the Pink Floyd song at first and was shocked and appalled

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that High Hopes is one of the worst songs ever made

when radiohead said “i'm trapped in this body and can't get out“ and when mother mother said “cause i’ve grown tired of this body, a cumbersome and heavy body” and when cavetown said “i’m trapped in my tiny human brain and it's killing me” and when arcade fire said “my body is a cage, that keeps me from dancing with the one I love, but my mind holds the key”

Too late, the craftsman forced to build that abomination of a staircase, already murder-suicided both himself and the architect.

Seriously, go to therapy, be a feminist, instead of dumping the responsibility for your own mental well-being on your boyfriend. I know it seems easier right know, but it for sure won't make you the well adjusted adult you'll need to be once he's not in your life anymore or just not with you anytime you desire overpriced coffee. Also what's that 'tall man/short woman' supposed to say, miss me with that shit.

Getting an abortion is sorting it out. Way more responsible than giving the child up for adoption.

Um yeah, but it's a geopolitical fiction with very real consequences? If this conflict escalates into nuclear warfare, and it very well could, most of Eastern and Northern Europe will cease to exist. I'll say it in all clarity: If this goes south we'll all die. Everything and everyone we have ever known and ever loved will cease to exist. If it were 'just' about some county being invaded then I sadly doubt many people would care. But it's not, is it?I mean I'm not saying our willingness to help Ukrain doesn't have to do with racism, it most certainly does. Especially looking at how Ukrainian refugees are treated (wich is in my opinion how all refugees should be treated) compared to (for example) refugees from Sudan or Syria. Yet it's not the whole story.

Also calling Ukraine a first world nation is so wrong it's almost cynical and quite honestly just shows OP's ignorance.

The truth is we Western Europeans are cowards. We fear that after a war with Russia we'd all be dead. Bc this war won't be fought on Russian soil, nor on American soil, it will be fought in Europe's heart. It will be the first to be hit by atomic bombs. Wich is only made more painful through the fact that it probably won't even be enemy missiles that kill us. It will be our allies trying to protect themselves from an invasion. I don't know for sure at wich point nuclear attacks would start. I'd have to be somewhere between Russia entering NATO territory (in Eastern Europe) and Russia standing at the borders of France (in Germany). Who knows. But that's why NATO, even those of us who have to fear Russia the most, will keep our military out of it. We can't risk it. We can't risk a nuclear war. The US especially and probably also France and England will make any sacrifices necessary to protect themselves, wich is understandable, but might cause the demise of Eastern and Northern Europe. This is why NATO will stand by and watch. We can only hope Putin is smart enough not to attack a member and hold our feet still. It's disgusting, but it's the harsh reality we find ourselves in. It would lessen my shame If we were at least brave enough to enforce the harshest of economic sanctions. Yet we are not even willing to do that much. We Germans are to blame for that in no small part, our economy seems more important to us than the existence of the Ukrainian nation and it's people. It's morally apprehensible and I have no excuse for the actions of my government.

Last but not least: This is personal, even to a lot of Western Europeans. There is a lot of migration between Western and Eastern Europe and has been ever since the 90s. Many of my friends parents will soon loose their home forever, will loose remaining family and their pain will be immeasurable. My best friend's mom has done nothing all day but sit in front of the TV, in tears trying to call her mother. Yet there is nothing the country she has called her home for over twenty years and wich she is a citizen of will or can do for her, her family or the country she was born in. It's a tragedy.

Obviously, I hope that everyone in Ukraine stays safe and Ukrainians deserve all of our support right now but I also wanted to say that my heart goes out to all people in Eastern Europe and Central Asia who have been living with the fear of Russian intervention for years and now see their worst fears come true. I see so many posts about how "we shouldn't worry as Westerners because the war will not affect us directly" and while this is absolutely true, I wanted to take a second to acknowledge those who do have to live with the fear that it might affect them directly. I don't have anything more to offer than words and it's not worth much but if you are from Poland, Estonia, Kazakhstan or any other country close to Russia or Ukraine and you are afraid because you don't know what the current events means for the future of your country, I am with you in thought and sending you a warm hug with this post.
