Woke: Libby Beck (sister, cousin, it doesn’t matter) and learning about her gives us insight and introduction into Jonah’s home and family life. Jonah knowing ASL already because of this.

Bobo Berens making the Kaia and Claire relationship that was implied through subtext to be romantic now canonically romantic. A relationship that was built within just 2 episodes on repeating tropes and lines from Dean and Cas over the years which have long been read as subtextually romantic. They were purposefully paralleled and now it is canonically romantic for one pairing. Meanwhile we saw what happened to Dean after he lost Cas this way, he was nihilistically suicidal and only recovered when Cas was resurrected. 

We since have seen Dean and Cas continuing to hold back from each other (because you can’t have your OTP get together halfway through the story) and in this episode in particular in what can only be described as a beautiful eye love making reunion scene which his far more intimate than any hug would have been.
