Listen to me. This is your life– no one else’s. At the end of the day, it is you who has to be happy with the choices you are making, food you are eating, things you are doing, goals you are pursuing. Do not let the opinions and judgments of others stop you from doing what you feel and know in your heart is right for you. Eat the food that makes you feel best. Do what makes you feel at peace. Surround yourself with people who make you feel good, who make you laugh, who sincerely make you smile. Go after what you want– not because someone else is telling you to, but because you want to. Listen to that inner voice, trust your gut, and trust yourself.

Drarry Drabble

A/N: So, I got bored during class, so I decided to write this. Hope it isn’t too bad!

“You know what, I’m done!”

Those were the last words Harry heard from his boyfriend before the door to their guest bedroom was slammed quite loudly.

He doesn’t even remember what started the argument, but it didn’t really matter. And while Harry probably could go in and just apologize, there was this little thing called “pride” that kept him glued to his seat.

After a while of just sitting in silence, Harry came to the conclusion that it was late and he should go to bed. Draco still hadn’t come out of the other room.

He laid down on their king-sized bed, not used to the empty space beside him. This was not their first fight, but it was the first fight where Harry ended up going to bed alone. And he must say, it is quite a foreign and unpleasant feeling.

After laying there for what seemed like several eternities, Harry began to drift off into an uneasy sleep.

However, after what couldn’t have been 15 minutes of the hazy half-asleep state, Harry heard the bedroom door creak open. A bit of shuffling could be heard before there was a dark figure standing in front of him.

“H-Harry?” It was Draco. Harry hummed in reply. “I-I’m sorry about out s-stupid fight. It’s just, I h-had a nightmare, and I need you.”

Harry was most certainly awake now. He sat up and clicked on his bedside lamp. Sure enough, there were tear stains running down his boyfriend’s cheeks, and his eyes were red and puffy.

He patted the space in the bed beside him, and Draco immediately crawled under the blankets, snuggling into Harry’s chest and sighing at his scent which smelled like home. Harry shut the light back off and snuggled right back, their fight long forgotten.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Harry whispered tentatively after Draco seemed to calm down a bit.

Draco just shook his head, cuddling farther into Harry, clinging into his shirt for dear life. “M’ okay now that you’re here, just wanna sleep.” he mumbled through Harry’s shirt.

Harry smiled softly. “Alright,” he said gently, placing a tender kiss to his boyfriend’s forehead “Sleep tight baby, I love you.”

“Love you too,” was all that was heard from Draco before both he and Harry fell into a deep and content sleep.

I think we cry to release the animal parts of us without losing our humanity.
