Influencers whining that "tumblr is useless for engagement" tells me every part of the problem, like sorry you can't just show up and farm this userbase for clicks by waving buzzwords around the way you can on tiktok. I was feeling terrible all morning. I've been having a tough few days, but I thought I was past it. The bad mood was weird to me because of that. When I went to go run errands, though, the sky was dreary. I chalked my bad mood up to that, but then it started to rain.

Usually, I get annoyed by the rain. This time, though, it washed all my heartache away. I felt so much better just from seeing it. Smelling the wet bricks, the clay pots, the dirt from the plants at the store. Maybe I've been reading too much poetry, but it reminded me of something.

Rain brings life. It travels, bringing new smells and sensations from place to place. Animals love it because it enriches their lives. It reminds them that the world around them is alive and full.

What a beautiful thing it is, to be alive. To be here on the planet Earth with you. With everyone. Rain is symbolic for life and rebirth, and I remembered that today.

I remembered that just because I'm in pain doesn't mean it will last forever. The rain leads to new life and new beginning. The pain is temporary and life is beautiful.

I'm so glad to be experiencing life on Earth with all of you.
