the dwemer:

The way they look at each other 😩💖

CONFESSION:
Here’s the thing about Solas: when you befriend him, he makes your species and culture an exception to his expectations. He doesn’t rethink his earlier assumptions, he just decides that you’re alright despite them, and I can tell you firsthand that being the exception to someone’s rule isn’t flattering. It’s demeaning and insulting and makes you feel small, and like you’ve betrayed your own people for being found “acceptable.”
Consider:
MC & Solomon as The Sun and The Moon.
MC whose magic is powerful, but very difficult to control. MC whose firey, emotional nature allows them to solve problems through empathy. MC who is tied closely to the Celestial Realm because of their relation to Lilith. MC with golden horns, like sunbeams. MC whose history is so mysterious that they may not even know it themselves.
MC who is loved by many, but known by few.
Solomon whose magic is precise, but not quite as intense. Solomon whose cool, wise nature allows him to solve problems through reason. Solomon who is tied closely to the Devildom because of his involvement in their history. Solomon with silver hair, like moonbeams. Solomon whose history is taught in schools, who has holidays in his name.
Solomon who is known by many, but loved by few.
MC & Solomon, two immensely powerful entities from the Human Realm. Total opposites at a glance, but both at their best when they're together. So overtly tethered to one another—not merely by fate, but by choice, as well—that they remain together, even through being displaced by eons.
MC & Solomon, who met entirely by chance—but, nonetheless, are a perfectly matched set.
