The tweet it's quoting reads rash @rashonalrash: the japanese version of That letter. it uses hiragana and not the stilted katakana that marks gaster, with an picture of the letter in question

The thread continues: it's very much correct to point out that the speaking styles are different. however! there are some things that, over the years, have (in)directly implied gaster, which are 1) forgetting/being forgotten 2) symbols/illegible writing (wd font) and 3) vanishing without a trace (2/7)
hose elements are all very much present in the mysterious valentine's card, as well as being in all caps and following the tipically gaster-ly halting scansion—in English at least. while the contractions and tone DO feel very informal for him, there's something else, too: (3/7)
it's the acknowledgment of "delta rune" itself. gaster's meta, 4th wall breaking shtick directly confronting the player as such is inexorably tied to him 1) originating from undertale 2) escaping the confines of his medium, and 3) having a direct hand in DR's creation (4/7)

Continued: this is something that has not only been built up over the past 8 YEARS, but over TWO separate games, at that. that's a lot of narrative and thematic baggage!! having to compare to gaster, it would be extremely hard to introduce a new character in the same position now (5/7)
i'm not saying it's impossible, to be clear, just that chapters 3-5 would have to haul ASS lorewise in order to make it feel narratively justified. especially since it's unlikely to be dess (99% girl in the code) or anyone else we've already met in chapter 1-2. (6/7)
but if it IS gaster, just... a different shard of him, that'd explain a lot of stuff that didn't quite fit before. idk about yall, but THIS guy seems a lot more likely to hide behind trees all happy to see us. and as someone else pointed out... "help someone".

“Your pet would eat you if you died near it” yeah well so would a lot of people. My pet isn’t special. I give them food meal & never let them outside. Are they gonna open wet food themselves when I’m gone? Are you stupid? If I have to be the wet food to buy a little guy some time so be it. Fuck off

I don’t know who cares to hear this but if someone asks you to hang out and you can’t but you genuinely want to hang out with them, let them know that the time(s) they suggested don’t work for you and offer new times that do.

If you just say you “can’t/that time doesn’t work” with no follow up, it communicates a disinterest (to a lot of people) just a little tip on maintaining relationships
