Their relationship as Vigilantes was similar to the one Batman has with Catwoman, but they eventually become full crime fighting duo.

As for Monarch, his name is Anansi. He was adopted by the Wakandan Royal family after he saved a young Shuri from some muggers. After proving his skills he was made the Royal Secret Keeper and later Advisor to King T'Challa, he knows all of Wakanda's secrets, even those the King or the council of Elders don't know about. "Control the Spider, control the Throne" is what Killmonger says about him. He would later travel to New York where he meets Peter and become close friends and a crime fighting Duo.
