So no doubt y’all saw @piecesofchess post about Deacon’s voice and of course, my mind slapped me with a headcanon.

After that incident with our pirate, Deacon’s voice box somehow got damaged (or it eventually got too old or smth) and had to be replaced. Kane thought his old voice sounded too soft and gentle, not enough authority. SO he gave him a more deeper, rumbly voice.

Bonus: Lucette did not like the change and was grumpy and pissy about it for three entire weeks. She was very upset and didn’t speak to Deacon until he had a talk with her about change.

This has chaos written all over it.
