‘I’m not going to make it!’ Lucette internally screamed as her lungs started to push against her rib cage, demanding air.

‘Oh yes you are. Be ready!’ The voice yelled at her, the air shifting round strangely.

‘What do you me-’

“AAAAAHHHH!” 

Next thing she knew, she was swept up into the air by an unnaturally strong gust of wind, lifted away from the toxic cloud.

‘You’re on your own now.’

“On my own?!” She screamed, too panicked to keep it in her mind. When no response came, the only thing Lucette could do was scream as she started her descent down to the deck of her ship. At the velocity she was going, her landing was going to be a hard one.

Closing her eyes, Lucette prepared for the pain of a fast moving object slamming into a hard, unmoving one. Well, she got pain but it was a different kind, mostly centered around her abdomen. Feeling the wind get knocked out of her when something large caught her, Lucette, when she felt that she wasn’t moving anymore, opened her eyes to see a familiar mask/face.

“Rooke!”

Okay, but I imagine that when Kane does curse, it means he’s really pissed the fuck off and it strikes pure fear into anyone who hears it.

Kane: You need them to think you’re stronger than you really are.

Bishop: Is that what you do?

Kane: Me? Oh, no. My power is no illusion. I could fucking demolish you.

Another Kane Headcanon!

Okay so, ya’ll ever notice that the uniform we see him wear in the puppet shows(before he was introduced) looks waaaaaay different from the uniform we see him wear when we meet him? Yeah, me too. So, I headcanon that he (while he has a shit ton of uniforms and clothes) he has two specific that he favors the most. One that we see in the puppet shows that looks like a two piece(?) and the one he where that looks similar to a long great coat.

You can try to pry this headcanon from my cold dead fingers!

“Yes, I remember. You do not want to become trapped in greed and power lust like he did.” She replied casually, her feet swinging back and forth over the neverending expanse of the skyways.

“I don’t blame you. You are only...human. An undead one but one nonetheless. You are going to occasionally stumble, it is inevitable. She answered in response with a shrug of her shoulders. With great power comes great mental instability.

She tilted her head as she listened to the sorcerer talk about his husband,  noting the large, broad smile on his face.

“You hold him in quite high esteem.” She said, not quite a question but not quite a statement either. As the ships passed through Monquista, thankfully without trouble, into the Skull Island skyway, the switch from Lucette into Her Highness Princess Lucette was instant, her expression shifting into cold indifference and her hands settling on her rapiers as she jumped down from the railing to stand on the deck.

“We’re are about to reach the coordinates. Arcturus, prepare yourself.”

As Lucette fought against her privateer opponent, she paused when a strange aroma met her nose.

“What in the Spiral?”

‘Cover your nose and hold your breath.’ The voice shouted at her, tone panicked but firm. Obeying, sucked in a quick breath before holding it, an arm covering her nose from the smell. At first, she wondered why all the fuss, only to watch with wide eyes as her opponent started to cough violently. She watched as blood started to dribble onto the deck from the pirate’s mouth, the coughing growing more and more erratic and strained until it started to sound as if he was choking rather than coughing.

When she looked around, she noticed the same thing happening to many of the other pirates.

‘Poison. But I didn’t command for any-’

‘Perhaps your new friend could be the source, then’ The voice answered, slightly interested. That’s when the screaming began. Right before her very eyes, the bodies of the pirates who breathed in the poison began to...melt. That’s the only way she could begin to describe what was happening. 

As the pirate before her started to claw at his own skin, it bubbled and pulsated before beginning to slide off. It was absolutely horrid and completely unnatural. The man was turning into some slugified mass of what could barely be called the remains of a human. That’s when her lungs decided to remind her of her own risky placing.

‘I need my gas mask!’

‘You didn’t pack it, you imbecile! Get back to the ship!’ It yelled at her, kicking her body into high gear to sprint back to her ship.
