Walking Out Into The Wide Courtyard, She Was Met With The Sight Of A Crowd Of Extravagantly Dressed Nobility,

Walking out into the wide courtyard, she was met with the sight of a crowd of extravagantly dressed nobility, humans and unicorns making up most of the majority with some guinea pigs and crabs mixed in. All had been whispering to each other before they saw her arrival, sweeping into deep bows and curtsies as she passed by. She was glad she kept her crimson cape dress on.

At the center of the courtyard kneeled down the foolish Duke, tied tightly with chains, unable to do anything else but stare up frightfully at Arcturus. Giving him only a spare glance, she turned to face the court, her voice resounding loudly throughout the courtyard.

“You all wonder why you have been gathered here today. Well, I shall inform you. It seems that some of you have forgotten your place in this hierarchy of ours in the land of Valencia. Some of you believed that that with my uncle gone, your King gone, that you may act as wildly and as arrogant as you please. Let me make this clear and let me make it clear now. The laws haven not changed, the throne has not melted away, and my uncle still has eyes and ears here. He has placed me as acting monarch until he has returned and I will play my role with due diligence. 

Disobedience will be punished. Rebellion will be punished. Traitors shall be punished. This man, the one you know as the Duke of Morono, has threatened his allegiance and resources to the Rebels should I refuse to marry him and make him king of you all.” She announced, something deep within her smiling when she heard the gasps and whispers began when they heard what he did. They had already thought lowly of him due to his arrogance over them, but his reputation was now naught but ash.

“In fact, he has admitted himself that he has been working with the Rebels for quite some time now. And as acting monarch, I cannot allow such a threat remain in the safety of our kingdom. We all know the sentence for traitors, do we not? Justice shall be carried out. And an example shall be made, not just for you traitorous few in the crowd but for the traitors known as the Resistance. May Dominatus have mercy on his soul.” She ended, the murmurs of “Dominatus have mercy on his soul” echoing after her.

Stepping beside Arcturus, she gave him a look.

“You may begin with the execution.”

Great news! RPs should be opening soon! Which means I’ll be getting my second set of Kane icons done, going over the RP rules, setting Verse ideas to the side, and I still have the whole “Face Claim” thing up in the air somewhere. But that would be on the lowest of my priorities right now.

Also, keep in mind that I changed the way I’ll be RPing from my last blog. Crossovers are allowed, the muses will be available at any time, and I’ll be reblogging more starter/RP-related memes. Hopefully this means the bots will get to meet Wizards or anyone from the “other side” of the Spiral. They’ve noticed all the new Armada OCs popping up in the fandom, and they’re thrilled! They hope to make some new friends, or even new members of the family…

“Hmph, is that so?” Terrus asked grumpily, crossing his arms over his chest defensively. Lucette only rolled her eyes at her friend’s behavior before leaning over and placing a gentle kiss on his cheek, right on the corner of his mouth. It was like watching a complete transformation, his body posture relaxing, his eyes widening and his cheeks blooming with a bright pink blush.

“Ha ha ha, you’re like a puppy dog, Terrus! You’re just a little angry because you want some attention from me.” She giggled,a hand softly stroking his slightly pink cheek.

“Not true.” He mumbled out, eyes looking off to the side. She only laughed again, entwining her arm around his own before turning her head to look at Arcturus with a light in her eyes.

“My deepest apologies, Arcturus, but my my little puppy needs some of my full attention for a bit. I did promise him some special bonding time with just the two of us. You may wonder around a few parts of the palace and may wonder my full gardens if you desire. Good day.” She said with a small curtesy before walking off with Terrus on her arm, the two quietly conversing.

Dressed in a crimson version of her uniform, Lucette marched down the corridor with an urgent beat in her steps. Spotting Arcturus out the corner of her eye, she quickly gestured him over to her.

“There is trouble involving one of my family members, Grand Marshal Rooke in one of Mooshu’s skyways. If you desire to come with m, you will have to fight. I can’t let room go to waste.” She said, fastening her belt holding her swords when her communicator crackled to life.

“Your Highness, the ships are prepared and the squadrons you requested are boarded. We await your presence.”

“Well done. I am on my way.” She responded before shutting the line, looking up at Arcturus with an arched brow.

“Are you going to fight with me or should I leave you here with Terrus?”

The Duke’s screams filled the air with the rancid smell of burning flesh, only for them to be choked off as everything burned within, organs, muscle, tissue and all. Lucette can tell that he still felt it all though, his rolling eyes and stretched open mouth telling all who saw the agony he was in.

‘Good, it would serve the purpose as an example better than before. Let them see what becomes of those who would sell out Valencia just for their own hides.’ She thought silently to herself, that small hidden part of her inside her mind grinning as it bathed in the fear the nobility gave off. She didn’t want to admit it but...it was exhilarating.

“Be warned, all of you: this is the fate that awaits you if you so much breath a word of betrayal. Or at least something similar to this. I’m sure Uncle could make something up.” She announced when it was all over, turning back around to face her audience.

“Remember that. You all are dismissed.” She said, strolling past them back inside the palace, ignoring their cowering curtsies and bows.

“That was quite a spectacle, Arcturus. Almost like fireworks but more deadly.” She complimented, shedding a bit of her princess persona off.
