At The Shrug She Received, She Released A Heavy Sigh. She Had A Feeling Terrus Did Say Something But
At the shrug she received, she released a heavy sigh. She had a feeling Terrus did say something but Arcturus was too polite to bring it up.
“I apologize if he has displeased or insulted you. Please forgive him, he had recently returned from enemy territory. Dominatus knows what horror he has seen that those damn piratis are cooking up.” She explained, hands tightening into tight fists as her voice deepened with disgust at the mention of pirates. Remembering that she was in front of a guest, she cleared her throat and fixed her expression into a gentle one. Absolutely embarrassing, Uncle would have been so ashamed in her.
“You must be hungry. Alma!” She called out. Barely a minute later, a beautifully elegant clockwork woman dressed in crimson red enters the room, her red veil covering her hair fluttering behind her like a comet’s tail.
“You have called for me, Lucette?”
“Yes, can you retrieve dinner for us both? It should be prepared by now.” She asked , looking up with a grin at her maid. Alma turned her mask/face to stare emotionless down at Arcturus before nodding her head.
“Very well, Lucette. I will return shortly.” She said, turning to stroll out of the dining room with a panther like grace unnatural to humans.
“I am glad that you slept well. And please call me Lucette....Or if that is too informal for your conscious, then Madame is alright.” She said, adding in the last bit with a dropping smile. She didn’t want to unintentionally pressure this man into calling her by her name if he truly didn’t want to.
“Tell me about your supposed kingdom. What is it like?” She asked, folding her hands under her chin to stare curiously at Arcturus.

When Arcturus began his story, Lucette sat up in her chair, quickly stuffing some more Carpaccio into her mouth before giving him her full attention. She raised a brow when he choked up, even if only for a split moment. An emotional story then.
“Wait, they only then discovered iron? They didn’t have steel? What did you make your weapons from then?” She asked, surprised when he spoke of the iron that was discovered in the land.
“I do not intend this to be rude, merely curiosity.”

“You are most welcome, Arcturus. Now, I shall let you rest, you must be exhausted from your trip. You will have dinner in my private dining antechamber at 8 since, well, everyone else in the palace don’t eat and using the dining room downstairs seems wasteful. I will send Terrus to fetch you when it is time.” She said, turning to walk out.
“What?! Why me?”
“Because you are Her Highness’ guard.” She replied coyly, giving him a small smile. Terrus rolled his eyes but kept his mouth shut.
“Now come, I want to show you you the new flowers Maria gave me for my garden. She calls them Tiger Lillies.” She said excitedly, pulling Terrus out of the room, leaving Arcturus alone.

The young princess was enraptured by the story, her expression turning into one of sadness when he talked about the war with dragons.
“But why would they do such a thing? Why has this war been started?” She asked sadly, confused on why they would attack dragons. That was their home too, was it not?

“He saw you as nothing but cannon fodder. Some god he is.” She muttered rudely, directing her glare at a mirror.
“What about his son. Lord Faraam, you called him? He alone saw through his father’s masquerade. Was his search not successful? Gwyn couldn’t have killed all of the dragons, could he? Some had to have escaped somehow.”

School fights
School fights are like gladiator fights. Think about it! Whenever a fight happens, all the children rush to the sight, circle around the fighters and cheer for their favorite person to defeat the other. They get disappointed when no blood is drawn but the fight alone is enough.
My friend then asked me what the teachers were and asked if they were the lions. Which is obvious! Lions didn’t and don’t discriminate! Once they’re loose, you all are fucked! The one who’s kicking and the one being kicked! The teachers end the fight! School is a gladiator pit! The secret is out!
