Summer showers are usually delightful. There’s something incredible about sitting on your balcony with your roommate as you both sip wine and listen to the rain patter against the streets and your apartment building. You love the smell of the rain, the dark overcast that seems to highlight your roommates handsome features. And, above all you love the cosiness that sets deep into your bones. 

You should have been home two hours ago, listening to the rain with your braniac of a roommate and yet, you had gotten stuck at work for what felt like the fortieth time just this month. You didn’t bring an umbrella to work, expecting to have been home before the rain began to barrage the Earth. You didn’t bring a jacket because it was hotter than Hades outside and the humidity was eating you alive. 

So here you were, drenched and disappointed that you missed out on a beautiful evening on the balcony.

Thunder crashes loudly, lightning highlighting the apartment door as it gets kicked open. Namjoon jumps loudly at the noise as the door knob slams into the wall. “Jesus Christ! What the fuck!?” He yells as he puts his hand over his heart. You glower at him as you enter the apartment, hair in tendrils as small droplets of water plop onto the white ground beneath you.

I literally can’t stop crying right now😭 i literally can’t think and cry at the same time but I really love this fic😔😔 the comparison between the orange and yellow versus red and blue was just amazing, I’m trying to think of words to describe how I feel about this but I literally can’t because of the bittersweetness of it all, the sadness but also hopeful that one day they’ll be happy again in the future even if sunmi isn’t there anymore. use your voice. use every platform you have, no matter how big or how small. nothing will change if you just sit there and watch. if you think you’re the exception, you’re not. remaining indifferent will only support the oppressor. do something.

write to your legal representatives. express your support for legislation that would bring justice to the unarmed civilians who’ve been murdered by law enforcement officers. demand for justice. 

call 612-324-4499 ㅡ this is a hotline that will coach you on how to get connected with the people who can arrest the officers that murdered george floyd. 

create serious conversation. stop demeaning people who disagree with your philosophies on how to overcome. it is useless and no better than the practices of the oppressor to silence. we need to listen to each other with respect and really consider how we can combine our perspectives to create practical change.
